I would like to say big 'THANK YOU' and how much I appreciate honesty of Vivo's staff members, especially one of them- Bozo, who found the wallet I've left at the restaurant on Friday night! I picked it up today with the same content as it's been left! It's very kind and uncommon thing to do these once again thank you!! Apart from that food was good, service great..Highly recommend to visit!

Great Café/Bakery on Upper Street, Islington. Fancied a pizza and was heading to Pizza Express with two colleagues, when we saw Vivo. Three freshly-made pizza, hot drinks, water and desserts all for around £50. Good service, choice and quality of food

Been here a few times and it is a decent high street cafe/restau. Always good coffee and nice desserts. Their pizza and pasta are also nice. Nice place to enjoy your coffee outside and people watch if the weather is nice.

Went for brunch yesterday and ordered scrambled eggs on toast. What arrived was a stack comprising two slices of barely toasted bread (each cut into a 4" circle) with scrambled eggs sandwiched in-between, surrounded by shredded red lettuce, possibly lollo rosso. I am currently following the SlimmingWorld plan so should have been relieved at the lack of carbs and the addition of "speed food" but just found it overly presented and irritating. My husband and daughter's brunches were fine except that their poached eggs were overdone - no runniness at all. To my mind, our food was average in quality but overly-priced. However, it has to be said that this place is VERY popular - every table taken and a substantial queue forming outside - so maybe I'm missing something ... or maybe I'm not the target audience!

I've been here several times because I love their salad bar and their rooftop! But today I was really impressed with an octopus dish they have! I really loved it! Please dont take it out of the menu ever!! Really delicious! The pastas are nice too and so the salads! The pizzas are ok, and the wine menu is really good and very well priced, as well as the cocktails! They used to have amazing deep fried calamari but now they have changed it... I dont know what has happened! The services is perfect, they hav really nice music and atmosphere, and overall its a really nice place! Oh, and the desserts are to die for!!!

Executive Head Chef Antonio Cannavacciuolo joined 3 months ago and his menu is excellent: you're getting fine dining (rustic, authentic, simple) Italian dishes that would cost you three times the price anywhere else. I chanced upon this place and ordered the egg white omelette with spinach and mushrooms for breakfast and was so impressed I returned for dinner (Guinea Fowl) which exceeded expectations. Coupled with a fine wine selection ( Merlot Reserva De Grad, Chile). Friendly staff and a warm well lit place makes Vivo London a gem in the City's dining.

This is a combination of self-service and/or table service, but the friendly staff will explain it to you, and help with your decisions, 'cause there are a lot of choices! Many salads and desserts, good entree selection, too, and a nice little terrace. Short walk from the Angel tube, and a bustling nightclub/restaurant district. We went there twice in six days, in a city with thousands of other choices.

Absolutely brilliant. Visited with family and will continue to do so. They made us feel super welcome and their breakfasts are out of this world. The staff are super happy and willing to help in any and every way

I visited VIVO with a larger company - I think a dozen people all together. We all tried the italian food - pizzas, pastas and risottos. The rest of the group seemed quite happy with their pastas and pizzas, and admitedly the look of it was quite good. I was not particularly impressed with the pizza I tried - I shared with friends and tried 2 different types (one with peppers and one with ham and mushrooms). It was an overall good pizza, although nothing special. We all shared some Pino Grigio, which was quite nice. Prices seemed normal for central London. The interior of the place is quite modern and beautifully done, creates a welcoming atmosphere. I'd deffinitely recommend going to the terrace as well if there's spaces available - beautiful.

Love this place place! I recommend the Venetian style veal liver with mash & sugarsnaps. Terrific. And for a starter, the Milanese style poached egg was sublime.

Went as a group of 20 for the first time to Vivo and had a fantastic evening. Service was exemplary and all agreed that the food was spot on. The pizzas are huge and delicious and the pasta and risotto perfect. The wine was also excellent value.

I dined here with my friend, and i the arriabata pasta was really good as well as the garlic pizza bread, But what stood out to me the most was management and the staff. I went to get some water as i was feeling faint and sick and the staff could see i wasn't feeling well, and they went on to look after me really well. They gave me water, a cold towel to place behind my neck, they lay me on the ground to get my blood flowing, i was so appreciative of their help and consideration and compassion. The manager stayed with me till i was well enough to leave. All the staff made sure i was ok and i am so grateful for the way the looked after me and stopped me from fainting basically. Thank you so very much. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, The interior is spacious and airy and a pretty cool place in the summer as well.

Usually this place doesn't take bookings but due to our large group took our booking for 20. They confirmed this booking the night before and offered us a range of different services and seating arrangements. We arrived 9.15pm on the 30th of May and we awkwardly asked to sit on their stunning terrace and even asked for table service (they usually only offer till service) and they fit all of our requests. The drinks were reasonable in price as was the food and both were very high quality trattoria type style - just beautiful for a light dinner. We stayed late and they stayed open for us all attending to any needs. Particular shout out to the waitress that attended to us who was helpful, likeable and funny. Just a great night and will recommend to friends so I can return in the near future.

I very often do business lunches here. You can find whatever you like from a range of med./ Italian food. Bars makes great (light) cocktails. I also like their desserts. This place is always busy but tables are clean and the service is really well.

I have been to Vivo multiple times for brunch, lunch and dinner. Their brunch is great with a varied menu, For lunch and dinner there are a variety of salads to choose from as well as pizzas, calzones, lasagnes and other little Italian plates. These are all really well priced and delicious. Note- they have a rooftop that is perfect for brunch/lunch.

My friends and I looking for a place in angel as I'm working in the area and always happy to find new places and not always the big branches company that we are used to. Walking the high street here we read roof Terrance and we thought what it could be better for a sunny day? Nice welcome from the beautiful lady, she explained how it works and we went upstairs for table. Lots of choices as Italian restaurant but salad, and order by the menu very taste. No so convince with the eggs royals with salmon but was ok. Tiramisu made my day. Something you don't wanna miss. Recommendations: need to organise better with table numbers, no option for tips on the card reader. Very happy Sunday lunch and weather with Terrance complement. Worth it a visit!!!

I always go to Vivo when I feel like I need freshness. Their salads are really good and the take away portion is big! You can mix and match the salads so plenty of choice!

Came here for dinner with friends on Friday. It did not disappoint! Amazing tasty food, friendly staff, real nice atmosphere and really good value. Between the 5 of us we shared the antipasti, calamari (and other fish items!), garlic bread with cheese and had an aperitif each. My main I had the gnocchi. The food was so tasty and each dish is around £10-£12 I would say. Nice bottle of Malbec too. Between the 5 of us it was £31 each - I think this is really good value considering we had starters, mains, wine and an aperitif (bellini for me). Would love to come back. Dark haired waitress also made a point of coming to say bye as she ended her shift.

Popped in to Vivo with friends, one to eat and others to drink. The food was well displayed, equally well portioned (which is rare for London) and fairly priced. The service was great, most notably the drinks staff who had strong knowledge and were able to make a cocktail off the selection available (The Godfather). The venue itself was stylishly decorated and had a wonderful roof top bar, the bar itself was not open due to the time of year but the seating area was comfortable. Overall this is a good place to stop into along your way in London for a bite to eat and for a few drinks to start the night
