The food, meat and fish has been very very good. The côte de boeuf was perfect and the sea nasso too. Very interesting the mackerel paté. Good service.

We had a very good evening here. Excellent staff with a big knowledge of wine. You can buy wine by the bottle but more fun can be had by their wine by the glass. There is a huge array of good quality wines - often where it might not be available again once it's gone. Basically you can preload a card and then just keep going back to choose another glass of wine from their extensive collection which you help yourself too from their amazing dispensers - don't be put off by that word- it keeps the wines at the perfect temperature or you can order from the staff. The wine menu is very explicit with the wines all having good descriptions. When you work it out it's not the cheapest way of drinking wine in the world but there again you are trying some different wines of a very high calibre without having to spend £60-£90 plus plus on a bottle. Our companion that evening has a different taste in wines to ourselves and infact all 3 of us drank different wines all night. It worked brilliantly! The food was excellent - the tables and room have a slightly rustic and very relaxing casual bistro feel to it. It's a very busy place and hugely popular - definitely book a table as it's on Kensington Church Street surrounded by lots of beautiful houses with people who wouldn't notice the cost of the wine!

Owners - either put your prices up & give the service charge to the staff, take it off the bill & let patrons give cash or be honest & say we want more money so don't give service charges to the staff. So deceitful. Had lunch, was nothing special & very small portion. Disappointed - as was the elderly lady at the next table.

We were unsure about this place but were pleasantly surprised as we were looking for something a bit quieter than a pub but looking for a meal. This is what you get from this place. The wine bar feel is excellent and the food is of a high standard. Although a basic menu the food is good. I can recommend the lamb it was as good as anywhere I have eaten if not better. Good place for a bottle of wine and a meal, young or old.

Great selection of wine by the glass so many options . Week night but still very busy got a table near the back that had bench seating. Service on the slow side due to how busy it got. Menu has some interesting options and the sea trout with tomato and avocado salsa was delicious. The sides fries and baby potatoes all very nice. Desert of lemon and fruit and dogs was yummy. Toilets are well maintained and very clean makes a change . Prices okay too just a shame service is on the slow side. They also have the option of a couple of beers too.

I wish this was in our town! The selection of wine is extensive and relatively reasonably priced. The wines were great, and it was a real pleasure to be able to try a few wines just by the glass. If this was near me, I'd be there very regularly.

Very nice staff! We were 7 looking for a table with no reservation, and a baby! The waiter Calvis (?) was quick to put some tables together and get a baby chair for us. The food and wine was excellent, and quick to arrive at our table. Calvis was always very attentive and friendly, he even helped me to find a place to change the baby's diaper, because there isn't place in the toilets for that. Had a great time and will be returning to this restaurant next time I visit London! Thank you!!

I would recommend this sexy little wine bar/restaurant if you are going to Opera Holland Park. 12 minute walk We had swift and attentive service and the wine Lust is eclectic. I had the cold beef and rocket salad bresaola and then seared tuna All washed down with a glass of Puligny and then a glass of Shiraz Will go back

This place used to have upbeat staff with sense of wine and service. These do not seem to be selection criteria anymore. Still nice ambiance.

We have just been to an early dinner here before seeing Don Giovanni in Holland Park. We thought the food was absolutely delicious and the service was good too. I had the burrata to start and the duck as my main both very well presented and tasted lovely. We had the recommended wine with each course which were excellent. The food arrived at our table in good time to give us time to walk back into the park for the Opera to begin. Would recommend.

The wine rooms have lovely atmosphere good choice of wine and great Jamon Iberico but anything the chef touched looked like it came out of a third rate American diner. Coarse, doused in bad garlic and fried in the kind of ugly batter you don't even see microwavable dinners these days. What once were potato croquetas trebled in size and could only be used for ammunition. Waste of good location and raw materials. All you can do there now is drink to forget.

We met a friend sir supper last night and this was a perfect choice as we had all been out for large lunches elsewhere. The great thing about the wine rooms are you can choose some really good wines by the glass -without having to order the whole bottle. Perfect for last night as one of my co diners was drinking white, another rose (there is only 1 Rose by the glass on the menu I believe) and I was on red. It really is up to you how much you spend - a big range of wines from about £6.00 a glass upwards. It's great fun if you wish to keep trying different wines. It's not the cheapest way to buy wine but that's not the point. You could buy bottles from an excellent menu and there is also a Bin ends menu too. I had superb foi gras served with brioche and a red currant jelly (not sure about the jelly-FG is perfect plain in my opinion). It was excellent (£12.00). My friend ordered the little plate of anchovies which were beautiful-it literally comes as is-no bread. The husband had Iberico ham and a side order of bread and balsamic, plus a side order of tempura courgettes with paprika mayo to dip in & for us to share. (7 big courgette sticks). Most of the little platters were circa £9-£12 I think. I nearly ordered the asparagus and crispy egg served with truffle mayo which was served to the next table and it looked really good (wish I had but it would have just been greedy🙄!) . Again circa £11-£12. These portions are not large and I didn't see any main courses being served but I wasn't looking as our conversation was enthralling (listening to the tales & tribulations of an author!). Said author did also order the foi gras after the anchovies as he'd tried mine and couldn't resist! It was very busy when we arrived at 7.30pm and by 8pm every table was taken. The tables are washed wood with simple serviette and cutlery. The staff were very helpful regarding the wines and they had tried most of the food and were very knowledgable. I'd recommend the Kensington Wine Rooms - lots of small tables rather than big group tables which gave a lovely cosy relaxed ambience - comfortable clientele from young ladies having supper 'catch ups' to couples, friends meeting over good wine, food & chat. Not the cheapest place but as always - it's your choice.

A wonderful venue with excellent food and service. I had booked this for my sons 21st and it was perfect. Excellent tapas and main courses, wonderful service from excellent staff and a great choice of wines which allowed a group to really try some different wines.

Just stopped in to enjoy myself. They have a dispenser system for wine, I have never seen before. Beautiful ambiance. They have wine classes and are very active in new experiences. If you enjoy wine, you should stop by and talk with them

Seems there is a wine club, just had 2 glasses of wine and an appetizer. You get an exact 125ml or 150ml wine pour. One visit is enough.

I work around the corner from the KWR and pop in every now and then. It was quite quiet being not yet 6pm on a Friday evening so I walked in and went straight to a table to await my friend. Waitress saw me but did not acknowledge. Waited a few min but still nothing- I tried to catch her eye but she was more interested in eating a few olives from the bowl I presume she was refilling! I found a male member of staff and asked for a wine menu, this wasn't already on the table and I wasn't offeredso had to leave the table in search of one. Then a couple came in with a (albeit lovely looking) dog. The same waitress made an absolute beeline for them, she made a big fuss of said dog, they were offered a menu and water brought then she was back to take their order- and I hadn't even been approached. I didn't have a cute dog with me admittedly but then last time I checked dogs can't actually pay for wine... Anyway my friend arrived and we managed to get our wine order in by chasing the waiter down rather than him coming to us. We might well have lingered longer but the service felt so lacklustre we moved on somewhere else. I went to the bar bit to pay as the guy taking payment was lovely and warm and chatty. Shame he hadn't been working the floor instead. I paid the service charge but to be honest I resented it on this occasion.

A quiet night in February. The staff were friendly if a little dozy in that the waitress forgot part of our order. Sadly, my onglet and chips was massively over salted. The rest of the food was ok.
