Great choice of drinks and great staff. This place has an amazing atmosphere, if you are in the area you must pop in and have a drink.

Tried here for drinks - Wednesday night and absolutely packed - service difficult because of that. OK place but would only go in when not busy

Visited on a Thursday night with 9 colleagues. The place was averagely busy but the service was prompt and friendly. The choice of drinks was great and fairly priced considering it was central London. Plenty of seating and a great atmosphere.

We arrived at 9:00 on Friday night. Great place but go upstairs. Much quieter and the bartender will take care of you. Cool place with great history.

I often pop into this pub after work. Good selection of wine and beer and friendly service. However only drawback is it's very popular. Good if you're out with friends and want somewhere with a good buzz about it.

So we're in London for Claire's birthday day just doing the whole sightseeing thing, thought we'd visit The Ten Bells (I'm a bit of a crime fan) and this was the very place where Jack the Ripper singled out 2 of his victims, firstly it was very busy. Amazing atmosphere, not overly expensive for London, the decor is very authentic I guess patterned tiled walls, mock electric (to mimic gas) lighting and a different kinda interior I'd say, you did get the feeling of how it would of been back in the day, worth a visit, we can't comment on the food because we never tried it.

Historical East end pub reportedly where Ripper victims and perhaps Jack himself may have drank. Across from Spitafields market in the Shoreditch neighborhood. Near lots of shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Good selection of beers on tap.

Came in for drinks as we used to come here when we were living in London. Its been spruced up; and I don't know how but somehow the toilets have lost their special odour: well done there Still busy, an average selection of beers. Nice enough to visit to say you've been, but nothing special.

After wandering around White Chapel to get a feel for the place, we decided to try this Victoria pub. Although the outside has been renovated since the 1880's, the inside still retains much of the feel & flavour and décor of the Victorian age. Loved the décor and certainly a place for history buffs to consider visiting. We hoisted a few and took in the look of the place. There were only a few people on the inside while outside the sidewalk was just filled with young people, drinking, smoking and socializing. It's remarkable to think that this place survived Hitler's urban renewal in the 40's but I'm glad it did. Felt kinda of strange though when you consider that this place was a pub that the Ripper's victims used to hang out in. Minimal food service here. This is a place to drink & hang. If you go, don't miss a warehouse of sorts across the street (don't know the name of the place). It is filled with A LOT of stalls selling everything you can imagine. There are also several restaurants inside as well. Worth the walk across the street.

The ten bells is always one of my favourite meeting places in London. It is always busy with a real buzz downstairs but for a quieter chat the upstairs often has a spare table The selection of beers is worth a visit and they always have a good selection of craft beers The food is OK but in the evening especially this is an old fashion boozer

Visited after a walk around Brick Lane street art on a Sunday, there was a guy sort of DJ ing in the pub with vinyl records and playing some old tunes which was enjoyable. Good range of beers and larger's. Central bar downstairs with plenty of room, we did not go upstairs, toilets are downstairs. Walls were tiled in many areas great Jack the Ripper history to the pub

Couldn't believe how busy this pub was on a Saturday afternoon opposite old Spitalfields market. Quite a small pub but very friendly staff and the bar area is very small surprised that 3 bar staff can serve behind it. Definitely recommend if you around the area

This is a quirky little place, directly opposite Spitalfields Market, which has kept much of its period fittings but mixed them in with a more modern style, to create a great fun atmosphere. The bar staff are really friendly and chatty too. The food menu is very much geared to snacks rather than meals but it's not as though there's any shortage of places to eat nearby. The place doesn't trade on its Jack The Ripper connection any more but it's an added reason to visit if that story intrigues you. Recommended.

Starting off point for a few drinks in and around Spitalfields Market. It was a hot summers day and thankfully there was ample standing room on the walkway outside the pub which, due to the good weather, was packed solid. We managed to squeeze in and enjoyed a few good beers with some awesome chilli peanuts. Service was a little slow due to the sheer number of people, but the bar staff were polite and did not appear stressed or under pressure, which is too common the scene in many other busy pubs. Great location to launch a night out in a really cool area.

Bar right outside spitafields market, this place gets seriously packed on a Friday night. Great place for an after work pint or two, but expect to stand outside.

Located in East London from the 18th century, but nowadays it is a busy place with good music and great beers. Also if you have previously read the story, when you go down to the toilettes, you can imagine that you will find Jack the Ripper ....

Typical, traditional, even historical pub. Plenty of beers to choose from, swift service, loud crowd, great people watching, especially outside.

We went on pub quiz night, which was a blast. A good selection of beers, very friendly staff and decent pub grub at a reasonable brief. You can pack in downstairs or get a bit more space upstairs.
