If you want to be served by the most miserable waiting staff, this place is for you. The food is just ok.

I just got some take away after a long meeting and this place has always stood out for me as something different. The Devore looks like something out of the 60s where you might see the Brady bunch hang out but it works.th menu is so different and the range of food just fabulous. I had been reading some articles about the nutritional value of tripe. I know I know WHAT!!!.yep they to this huge cold starter of tripe greens peanuts and chili and chili oil. Omg it's gorgeous, the combination of flavours so interesting and delightful. Then a simple dish of shanghai greens done in garlic and again just beautiful things happening in my mouth. This is a must do place.take away or eat in its magnificent. Whatever you have from the menu it will be a surprise delight. Be adventurous and you won't be disappointed.

22 pounds for unlimited hotpot refills is a really great deal. The fish is so fresh. Would recommend 10/10.

The service is prompt. The food is very good with generous serving. The only problem is AMEX card is not accepted. The owner is bit grumpy and not very friendly but the quality of food compensate for that.

This restaurannt doesn't earned a star from me but I cannot write a review without rating them. The place is not clean, the man (Im not sure if he's the owner or the manager) is rude. The food is terrible! My husband left his food and went to the Italian restaurant on the other side of the street. When I tasted his food, I liked to throw up. It's smelly and I asked the man what kind of meat they were serving. His answer "tender beef", but omg it's the muscle of the beef! The place is dirty and people don't speak english, I mean the universal language. This is my unsolicited advice to those who are not familiar of the place near Premier Inn Euston, please don't eat at this restaurant. It's better to buy a hot food to go at Sainsbury.

I came here in a group of 14 for lunch. It was late on Easter Saturday; the restaurant was empty. Each of the 10 dishes we ordered, as well as the rice, were served at room temperature or even cold, even the hotplate tofu, which seems a cruel irony. The cut vegetables were dry. I'm not sure about authenticity, but there was a great deal of dried chillies and onions. The food wasn't too spicy, though. The crispy fried chicken was decent, however.

We decided on this place because it was full of Chinese people eating here and we were not disappointed. We had the banquet and there was plenty to eat. We were allowed to swop dishes around. Service good and quick. Toilets could do with sprucing up a lot.

One of the WORST restaurants that i have ever been on!!! Braiced Lamb chops!!!! The most expensive meat dish that they had. 40 min to wait.... Tasteless coked lamb chops, in a metal pot with yesterdays potatoes peppers and dried chilli. Terrible!!! GO SOME OTHER PLACE TO EAT!!!

Popped in to this place on recommendation and thought it was great. Dumplings in sauce a great starter followed by lamb with cumin and a chicken dish with lots of chilli. Definitely a keeper.

My boyfriend and I went for the all-you-can-eat hotpot. The whole meal was average. Some of the meats we were given had a stench and we had to order a new plate. What made us so uncomfortable was the male manager/boss of the restaurant, who kept walking past us and staring, monitoring how much we were ordering. Towards the end of the meal, the manager came to us and bluntly rushed us to leave the restaurant because apparently we have eaten more than 1.5 hours and that's the time limit for hotpot, which we were never informed about throughout the whole meal. He said, "I have even given you 15 minutes extra to eat." He was blatantly rude. We also heard him insulting the foreign customers in Chinese behind their backs. It's just the WORST service from the manager, but the rest of the staff were very friendly. I will never go back again. Ever. Unless the restaurant hires a new manager.

This restaurant serves sichuan cuisine well and affordably. There are no frills to service or the setting, but does the job.

Stayed over in a nearby hotel and wanted something nearby due to having the kids with us. Reviews looked good so tried it. We asked for a table for 8 and the manager seemed from the word go that he didn't want us there. Seemed very reluctant to find us a table even though it was practically empty, we thought it could be the four kids we had with us. One of the kids wanted noodles but they don't do them on the dinner menu apparently so that was a bad start. The rest of the order went ok, the food was just ok. The manager could do with brushing up on his people skills as well.

For those who like genuine szechuan food I would strongly recommend. One of the few I keep returning to in London. The hot pot is superb and the hot and numbing dishes are a delight for those who like proper spicy food. I had the hot and numbing slices fish which is good enough to keep me coming back.

We just needed some dim-sum - some dumplings, some asian veges, and a few pots of chinese tea - as a light dinner. This place was lovely, and full of chinese people so always a good sign. Really enjoyed it and will try to come back next time I'm in London.

We came to Red n Hot to meet with a colleague who suggested we try Chinese Hot Pot and he knew just the place. None of us knew what to expect as we were all newbies.......what an amazing night we ended up having. We had read mixed reviews but like to try and keep an open mind and so glad we did. The hot pot was a truly unique experience and the service at the restaurant could not be faulted. They were very attentive to our needs and couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent and so much of it......it was a buffet and they kept replenishing it (And not making us feel guilty like some places) If you haven't tried a chinese hot pot I would definitely recommend it and I would also recommend this restaurant be the place you do it......Be sure to book in advance though to avoid disappointment as there are not always enough hotpots to go around. My first time but definitely not my last

We just live nearby so we often go there for food as the lunch is good and reasonably priced. The food is OK however the service was incredibly terrible. Especially the head manager. He whined and spoke rudely when I was only just asking if I could pay by card. I tried to suggest that I could go to the cash machine literally next door to get cash but was ignored and continually got mistreated by the manager instead. Well, apparentyl he thinks that customers who want to pay by card are troublesome and annoying and basically just shouted "What you wanna pay by card for only this amount? Are you kidding me?". I believe that this is not the behaviour that a restaurant staff should have and his attitude disgusted me especially that I offered the solution of getting cash.

I have dined in this restaurant on several occasion and every time is just great. Be prepared, this is not a typical Chinese English Restaurant, it is completely authentic and serves dishes what you would expect to eat in China. It specialises in Hot Pot which is basically a large broth that you put raw vegetables, fish and meat into and cook them yourself on your own table. The taste is amazing and helps me bring back memories of my travels to China. Price wise, very affordable just £20.00 per person and eat at much as you like (they bring extra food on request). Paul the manager is great and has a very welcoming manner. 10/10

Good authentic Chinese food, plenty of choice and lots not too hot (just avoid the "2 chillies"). Menu in English & Chinese and we were the only non-Chinese customers. Service fine but got the impression that staff English not great; so we went for the Set Menu which was very good and reasonably priced. Not an up-market, over priced romantic destination just good food at sensible prices.

Walked all day, saw this restaurant near our hotel, choose the banquet - good value and great food, was able to swap out some of the seafood, for other selections. Would recommend.

I have come here a few times. I then tried to come with a friend who wanted shellfish in their hotpot. We asked for a split pot and they refused and chucked us rudely out of the restaurant for even asking. Incredible to be refused service for a food allergy in this day and age. The head waiter in particular didn't se to care for the concept of customer service which is detrimental to them considering how good the food is.
