(VG) Minka says: Flat White opened around the same time I moved to London (2004) and for a very long time it was the only place I could find decent coffee in London. Hiring an ever changing line-up of Antipodean baristas, it established itself as a mecca for Australian & NZ expats in need of a strong shot of caffeine. These days, it's still there, resiliently holding its place in an ever gentrified (read: soulless) Soho. Free Wifi. Open 7 days 8am-6pm. www.minkaguides.com

Popped in to grab a coffee. Ordered coffees and a carrot cake to share. We must have been sitting waiting for no more than 5 minutes when the waitress came across and thanked us for our patience and gave us a complimentary chocolate brownie! Both the carrot cake and brownie were tasty and the coffee hit the spot nicely! So nice to experience excellent customer service.

Lovely little cafe in Soho. Coffee was on the dark side (not a bad thing), food was delicious. Would recommend to friends visiting!

This place has a great reputation and it deserves it - the coffee is definitely one of the best I had in London. A bit pricey and the there could be more space inside in my opinion, but the coffee itself is worth it.

I think this place introduced Flat White to Londoners and it was the first specialty coffee shop in london. Really love the origniality.

This is a small, simple, pleasant place with friendly service and a great flat white! Tasty, rich espresso.

Awesome but a little on the expensive side, even by soho standards. Great coffee and food was delicious - even as an Aussie! Definitely not one to miss if you live for coffee.

Great coffee .. good breakfast selection and great friendly barista .. what else would you ask for. I discovered this place recently on my holiday and I am definitely going couple of times before I travel back home.

Flat White does a brilliant flat white (shockingly), and delicious avocado on toast. We had the poached egg & chili avo on toast, and the halloumi & superseed avo on toast--both fantastic. It's pricy and the interior is very small, but if you're looking for quality coffee and brunch offerings, it's worth squeezing in to! Not somewhere you'd plant for an entire afternoon of reading or working--but who cares when the food is so good!

The people at this place obviously love their coffee. I had a double espresso and clearly the beans were fresh and fruity. The guy serving me was a bit subdued! (smile!!) but maybe he'd had a hard day. If I lived in this area this place would be my daily caffeine fix.

Stopped here for a coffee break and ordered a Cafe Latte and a Flat White. I had to pay £6,20 for 2 cofffees which I find expensive. If the coffee would have been amazing it would have justified to price I guess, but it just wasn't. Very mediocre coffee, on the weak side, just not nice, full and balanced. Service was okay and friendly.

I went to Flat white cafe early this week for breakfast and I thought it was interesting discovery of an Australian cafe in central London . However I was very disappointed that for over &12 what I get were over toasted sourdough bread topped with mashed avocado 2 poached eggs and literally 2 spinach leaves and few slices of tomato on top of the spinach !!! I wouldn't recommend anyone at all the food were terrible and the coffee lukewarm!

Lovely place and lovely vibe. Best flat white I've ever had. Friendly staff, clean, goes well with a crosstown doughnut which is close by.

Friendly service and excellent espresso drinks are definitely the norm at Flat White. I went in reluctantly and exited a huge fan. The pastries and toasties were fresh and the coffees made with TLC - keep up the good food and cheery service Flat White, we'll be seeing you one more time for brunch before we head out of Londontown.

I just paid £2.00 TWO POUNDS for 1 slice of toast! Absolute joke! One slice looks like someone has taken a bite out of it. How can we support our local coffee shop with prices like that :(

Been here many times and cannot fault the coffee and the extra large food portions. Staff, location and experience as always extremely pleasing. Forget those uninspiring chains and go for something with a little je ne sais quoi! My favourite coffee shop that never disappoints. Love love love it!

I went there because I was desperate for a coffee like we get in Australia and it was certainly up to standard in that department. It was £3.40 so it cost a lot more than in Australia. I was a bit hungry so I ordered a bagel which is not an Australian thing but whatever. It arrived burnt and the unfriendly server just plonked it down in front of me and left before I saw a thing. If you want a good but expensive coffee, this is your place, otherwise don't bother.
