Close to loads of attractions within walking reach, very comfy room and very comfy bed, internet very fast. Nice quiet room and Power shower, this stay was part of our honeymoon and we thourougly enjoyed the stay

Enjoyed our two-night stay at the hotel. The location is perfect for visiting the Westminister area. The room was nice, clean as was the bath. The staff was very courteous and attentive. We went to the lounge on the second floor on two occasions and while the staff was helpful, the service is very slow. On the second morning, guests were lining up to find someone who could give them their bill. More staff is needed or the lounge shouldn't try to serve breakfast, which is very time-consuming.

Rude staff, unhelpful, unaccommodating and poor quality rooms. "Executive Lounge" serves poor quality food, stale fruit, and don't replenish stocks quickly enough. Basic room service advertised as 24H - but was told that no items available when telephoned at 23H50. Insipid breakfast which is overpriced for what you get. Overall very, very poor quality product for the price.

I stayed at this hotel for the third time in recent years, and i am pleased to say that the property keeps improving. The location is excellent - relatively close to the center, and yet still quiet enough to rest. The front desk staff are very qualified, and are helpful as well as fluent in many languages. The room was very clean and restful. Additional housekeeping items were provided upon request and promptly. The restaurant was also very solid, with a strong bar and people actually in the bar in the evenings (a change from my last few stays). Overall, after location, the warmth and helpfulness of the staff was the most significant factor in this property. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked this hotel, as it said it was 5 minutes from Big Ben, (it is actually 15 minutes), also Apple iMacs in each room, (there were none in any room). Large opening windows, (in fact was a narrow window with no view at all). We felt so let down after the the false information, especially as it was meant to be a queen room, but was so small. The receptionist tried to tempt us with other rooms BUT they were all as grim. I had no alternative but to ask for my £234 back which i had just paid. Of course, even though we had only just paid it wouldn't be credited back to my credit card for another 48 hours. An absolute joke!!. I wouldn't advise anyone to stay at this hotel at all. Save your money and go to a premier inn or travel lodge. You would get far more for your money. Double Tree by Hilton is ALL FUR COAT AND NO KNICKERS,

Out of the 6 various hotels on my Europe trip, I spent the most time picking this hotel but I liked it the least overall. I'll start by saying that the room is considerably large for London, the hotel is in a great location and has nice views on the gym floor, and the front desk is very friendly. They also have complimentary cookies and water. That's where the praise ends. The bathroom is so small that you can barely move your arms in there. The sink drained really slow and the bathroom fan was very loud all night. The carpets also felt and looked old, both in the room (see picture) and in the hall. There's no overhead lighting so the room felt dark. Looking for a bottle opener, I called reception, guest services, and room services 3 times each around 7pm. No one picked up. They then gave me a voucher for declining cleaning, but they put the wrong date on there. I didn't even bother using it. The desk outlet next has a ledge that prevents using plugs with an adapter. The rooms are not soundproof but worst of all, some guests were like savages. This doesn't usually factor into a review, but I was awoken to adults running back and forth in the hall. They sounded drunk and tried to open my door 5 times. It was scary at first, then just annoying. They woke up at 7am, presumably still drunk, and continued. Needless to say, I barely slept and I was getting over a cold. I called reception to let them know that I wasn't feeling well and requested a late checkout, but they were not accommodating in the slightest and insisted that I check out at 12pm. I later went to the gym and it smelled so bad that I just checked out and left.

Location was key for our initial stay in London, we needed to be near the major sights, Doubletree Westminster definitely met our requirements. It is about a 10 minute walk to Big Ben, Parliament, and Westminster Abbey, and another 10 minutes to Buckingham Palace. It is not really close to the tube but there are taxis lined up outside the building and there is a bus stop very near . The warm cookie and local map of the area that greeted us upon our arrival was definitely appreciated. The room had AC and an iron. Good size room but small bathroom. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.

The bathroom was gross and disgusting. There was hair in the shower, floor, and sink upon arrival. Yuck. The front desk person wasn't very polite. I asked if he had a spare adapter I could borrow, and he was a little short in his reply, and implied I should have remembered to have brought my own.

This is a typical Hilton Doubletree, but what struck me about this one was the extremely small bathroom. And not just the bathroom but the shower in particular. If you're a larger person I can see how you either wouldn't be able to even get in the shower and if you could, would be unable to turn around. Location is a not ideal in turns of reaching an underground station. About a 10 minute walk which is fine in nice weather, but miserable in the rain. Breakfast has a nice variety.

I only stayed here for one night because that was all I had in London, but it was a wonderful one night. The staff helped direct me to the closest hop on hop off bus tour which was right down the block. This hotel has a really great location and it's not scary to walk back to it from Big Ben at night by yourself. I felt totally safe in the area. I will definitely stay here again when I return to London. Also I loved the freshments or fruit flavored water always available in the lobby.

Stayed in the hotel on a Saturday night with some friends. Customer service at Check-in was rushed and not clear. We found it difficult to understand what they were saying as speaking so fast to get rid of us. We didn't have breakfast included but we're told that it would £15 if we decided to have it, which is fine as Hilton breakfast is usually food. Next morning was told rudely that it was now £20! Stuff that so we went out somewhere else for breakfast. The rooms were fine had an Apple Mac as a TV. Rooms clean and tidy, but not much personality. There's no view just the top of the lower building surrounded by other rooms, so have to keep curtain closed. The AC wasn't very good especially as it was very warm in the room. Location wise, its.a 10min walk to the tube. Westminster and the Thames are close by so good if that's what you want to see. Im a Hilton Honours member and overall disappointed with our stay, it was quite expensive for not having breakfast. Probably my least favourite stay in a Hilton.

Two week business trip stay at DoubleTree Hilton Westminster and was excellent. The staff were all very polite and helpful. The level of service was excellent. The location is terrific, a short walk to many attractions. Good size room, clean and comfortable and a great gym with a fantastic view of the London skyline. Overall I rate my stay very highly.

Hotel is a 10 minute walk to any underground station which was a draw back however lots of cabs outside the hotel to combat this which can get expensive. Ordering room service was very hard - got transferred from main reception a number of times to the wrong department which was not professional. The front of house team on the reception need to make sure this doesn't happen. Why it took 5 attempts to order an orange juice when pressing the direct room service number, was a let down and by the time it came I had to drink it very fast as it was 2 minutes until the check out time. Staff were pleasant however and the room was clean - Felt corporate / people on vacation to only to use the hotel as a place to sleep - Not much else to do at the hotel but was a nice stay.

A room with gorgeous views and thus the conditions to deliver a magical experience let's itself down by under staffing and poor systems to cope with lack of manpower. Emails ahead of visit unanswered and mail sent for me not delivered.

Pleasant hotel with a nice, quite spacious room and a comfortable bed as well as a fairly deep bathtub, all at what was a very competitive price for the time of year - lesser hotels in the same neighbourhood were more expensive. But the best part was the staff - welcoming, helpful and caring. A maintenance problem in the room was also handled quickly, while I was out, with the fix an improvement on the original. I was very well treated and will be back!

Situated within walking distance of Westminster Abbey and Parliament, this hotel has friendly and efficient staff and a buffet breakfast that would tempt most palates. Guest rooms are designed for efficiency and have refrigerators, plenty of electrical outlets and a tea/coffee setting ingeniously stashed inside a cabinet. I don't recommend using their sofa beds at all! Our room had a torture chamber pull out sofa which was unusable (so much so that my daughter just slept on the floor) because the frame was bent and the mattress was severely dented. Overall a great hotel for couples and business people.

Like everyone I tend to stay at the big hotels downtown but this trip I decided to stay in Westminster a suburb. The hotel is the only hotel in the area and the main industry seems to be Burberry"s Head Office. The front desk was very helpful and when our TV did not work the service person handled the situation very well. The room was clean and well laid out. Breakfast is included and I have to say while the service is good the food was only fair. While the location is not downtown we were able to access everything by public transportation. I love the area because it is like being home. I will stay here again!

Spent four nights here recently. Wanted to be close to the action and this hotel was certainly that. Just a 10 minute walk to Westminster Abbey, 20 minutes to Trafalgar square. Underground station (Westminster) very close as well and we found navigating the London system surprisingly easy. The hotel served a great executive breakfast, but there are plenty of other dining options. Room a little small, but very clean and bright. Maid service was good though they keep trying to get you to forego this. I thought the offer of 5& for no maid service was just too cheap. We would stay here gladly again especially if we wanted to walk everywhere. Note the room rates vary considerably, depending on what is happening close by. We found the prices high given the small rooms, but then everywhere else was just as expensive.

Good location of the hotel in Westminster, Walking distance from Parliament and tube station. Clean good hotel, Staff is okay but misses that little bit extra to make the hotel home. Breakfast was good. Shower temperature of the water was not stable.
