Recently invited to a business breakfast meeting. An excellent location but the food was disappointing. Looking forward to the eggs benedict which were ordered a few days in advance due to the requirements of being a small party. However the food was cold, muffins and bread not toasted and even the crumpets ordered by one of the guests were not toasted. Perhaps the food was prepared days before when we booked or the staff just left on the side to get cold, but still does not excuse bread etc not being toasted.

Nice bar with "outdoor" terrace. Technically indoor, since it is in a huge atrium. But a great location nevertheless. Good service. Across Bishopsgate from Liverpool Street station. Will return.

I was invited to attend my friends wedding at the Devonshire Terrace, Devonshire Square, Central London. It was a lovely venue, made even more enjoyable by the fact that it's outside but the buildings have a glass roof covering. It was a bit warm it the sunshine but amazing in the evening. The food was great, the serve excellent and the staff really worked their socks off that day. I would definitely go back there for a family meal. It's not to far from the train station either.

A good selection of wines and nibbles and attentive cheerful staff. The charming manageress also kindly let me have one of the denim bow ties that the staff wear. My only slight criticism is that they are a victim of their own success in that it was so busy that it took a while to get further supplies of wine through. The place has a good buzz , lovely setting - and a terrace where smoking is permitted ! Has my recommendation.

Visited Devonshire Terrace for dinner with my husband. We both loved the elegant space and relaxed atmosphere. Food was great - I loved my Cod with crushed potatoes. But we were most impressed by the service - professional and friendly at the same time. I really felt that our waitress went out of her way to ensure we had a lovely time. Will definitely return.

Visited as part of 3 couples last night, and wasnvt expecting Michelin stars based on the pretty basic menu. I was temporarily impressed when we were seated, because the venue itself is lovely, nicely decorated and really cosy. Unfortunately the food and its clumsy delivery ruined any good impressions we had. My burger patty was like a hockey puck, I'd be really surprised if it wasn't reheated from frozen. My wife's halloumi burger was soggy and tasted similarly unfresh. The service wasn't able to save it unfortunately - a bottle of wine we ordered never arrived, and we had to go without coffee as the machine had been dismantled before we ordered dessert (around 9.30). Disappointing meal - next time I want a burger and have £35 burning a hole in my pocket I'll get a fresher meal at McDonald's and I'll put the other £25 in the bin.

The Devonshire Terrace is located within the Devonshire Square estate, so it is off the beaten track. A lovely, large bar, plenty of space and seating, with 2 outside areas both of which are sheltered from the elements. Very friendly staff, along with drink table service for a small charge (beats queuing at the bar when you're ordering a large round). Well worth a visit if you're in the Liverpool street area.

My husband invited 2 wonderful colleagues of his . We chose Devonshire terrace based on its location 5 minutes from London Liverpool station. We loved the venue and the interiors. It is an excellent venue that is not noisy like many other restaurants so you can have a decent chatt with your friends. The tables are not close to each other so you have your privacy. We loved the food and the ambience. The service was a little slow but we didnt mind it because our waiter [Arnold]was so lovely and was trying his best .I recommend it for group gathering and will certainly visit again.

Went there with some colleagues. Charged us for service even though they were mega slow (wasn't busy) and miscalculated the bill several times. Waitresses were rude, unhelpful and standoffish. Not worth it.

Called in for a late Friday lunch, front of house very pleasant friendly and clearly knew how to serve and promote suttle serving drink ideas, however from ordering drinks or food to table delivery all the staff seemed to be distracted to the point that both myself and two other tables had to attract front of house staff thinking they had forgotten our drinks or food orders! However. The food and drinks were pleasant and tasty if a little un-enspiring. But the venue is lovely.

I wanted a restaurant for 3 friends to catch up from 5:30 on a Thursday evening. As the venue was on restaurant apps, its reasonable to expect a restaurant when you arrive. Not so. At 5pm, there were only 3 tables set up for dinner in a very large venue. The remaining space had been transferred over to bar space and got busy and loud very quickly. I asked the staff if they were serving food and they said "I will have to check". Not a great sign. It slowly became evident tjis was a restaurant by day and bar by night. No good for a traditional restaurant meal. I asked the manager if we could move outside as it was quieter but was told no as it was all reserved. I asked why they were on apps as a restaurant as they clearly arent. The response was that they keep a few tables aside and that 99% of their clientele know they are mainly a bar. Great for them but no good if you aren't familiar. Terrible restaurant, terrible service. A good city bar venue maybe although very slow drinks service. Frankly, avoid like the plague. There are much better bars and nicer restaurants in the area.

Visited this impressive venue early in the evening for a light meal and glass of wine. My friends burger was 'fine' but my chicken blt sandwich was poor, putting it kindly. Service was good and the wine, by the glass, was good too - but more expensive on the bill than the menu..... shame. I was hoping for better.

Decided on dinner here with friends after work one evening. We looked at all the menus in the area and decided that this would be best due to one of member of the party having an allergy, which the staff were excellent dealing with. The main issue was the service generally, the meals look a long time to come and when they did they were so small. We were given a dessert menu but no one came back to take the order. We advised the manager of our issues when requesting the bill and the complaint was dealt with effectively. I would like to try this restaurant again and hope that the poor service was a one off.

I organized an event there, and I have to say the venue is ample, well decorated, not noisy and very elegant. One of the best places in the city of London. It can be used for friends/personal meetings but also for business. It is easy to talk and hold a conversation. The staff is very efficient and always ready to help. They sort out the area so all guest could comfortable fit it. All guests were impressed and they want to come back. Prices are adequate and the drinks and food offer is very comprehensive. It is a must.

This restaurant has a good selection of different dishes for lunch and has a pleasant ambience . It is well sited in the middle of Devonshire Square . There was a bit of difficulty accessing a wifi connection - but that's not the main purpose of being in a restaurant . Worth a visit for a business meeting .

I booked online and told the restaurant I was bringing a companion for a birthday treat and they did not disappoint. We were treated to a couple of glasses of bubbly on the house which was a really nice touch. The menu for us was perfect as you could have a lighter salad or steak if you prefer. I find so many city places don't have the choice as they are geared towards the "blokey" business lunch but this was different. Lovely service, delicious sea bream, some of the tastiest sweet potato fries I've had. All the food was fresh and hot, delicious. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back. Thank you.

Took a client out on a very cold January evening, so wanted something very close and walkable from Liverpool Street Station. This place is ideal: - great location - perfect customer service - really good food - wide selection of drinks - surprisingly good value - very stylish & welcoming I certainly will be visiting this place again. Too boot they had great entertainment for Burns Night!

Me and some work colleagues went to Devonshire Terrace last night. We were greeted by a man at the door (I think his name was Olly?) who welcomed us with a big smile and took us over to a a table. The wine he recommended us was perfect, a bit more expensive than we wanted to spend but I'm definitely glad he talked us into it. Old time classics were playing out which makes a nice change to our usual drinking hole round the corner. The atmosphere was great, we will certainly be back!
