When a restaurant has a show or a gimmick, I am often wary and expect that this is to cover mediocre food. Not so Circus. If you are looking for good food and a Thai green curry that can more than warm you, this the restaurant for you. We had great service from Sergio, thank you for also making our night, if only all waiters where so good. In-between courses we were entertained by acrobats and fire eaters, who would take to the stage for small 7 minutes slots, just enough to say wow and then enjoy a chat and another drink. Speaking of which the barman, apologies I did not get his name, makes a mean Elderflower Collins, great for making you forget the damp and drizzly night. Good night for groups.

Circus is amazing! The food is superb, the acts are great and the staff are super friendly! Ada, the manager is superb and her team are a credit! It is an ideal place for celebrating an occasion or for a fun night out - try it, you will not be disappointed!

My third time at circus! Fab acts, great staff and superb food. A real treat for any occasion. This time we had a table for four, just off the main stage. Great seats. We ate a la carte - which worked out well.

We had the best night at Circus this past Wednesday night. We booked months ahead for a special night with friends who were in London for one night only. I had asked for a good table and I think we got the best right next to the stage table but still cosy and away from all the other larger groups as there were only 4 of us. Thanks Circus for accommodating my request. Food was fantastic as I am Veggie and the cocktails, wines, menu choices and spectacular entertainment made for an amazing experience. I cannot commend the staff enough for their attentiveness - and although we were the first sitting there was no rushing us through our very leisurely meal, plenty of it, hot on arrival, and just fabulous. Cannot suggest one improvement and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a really unique night out in London.

I'm a huge fan of circus performers, and had been wanting to come here for such a long time. Finally got to go and I was not disappointed! The place is small enough that every table has a good view, the service is incredible, the food and cocktails are really tasty and the entertainment is spectacular. Absolutely loved it.

I booked circus after reading the reviews online, and we were certainly not disappointed. We booked the pre theatre menu as we were catching a show. The food was absolutely beautiful, in particular the squid and salmon main. We did struggle with the chopsticks but wanted to stay authentic. The waitress was very helpful and guided us to the teapot cocktail and the giant martini glass cocktail which were delicious. We got to see 4 acts in the time we were there, and everyone was fantastic. I was gutted to have to leave, but have already planned my next visit later in the night. Worth every penny!

Had a great evening at Circus for a friends birthday. Cocktails were spot on, and staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good, but personally would have preferred more meat options, as not a massive fish fan. Plus there didn't seem like there was a lot of the food for the price. Some of the acts were brilliant, and it's definitely worth getting a stage table with a large group for an even better experience. The disappointing bit of Circus was after the meal and the acts had finished. There were a lot of people there that were clearly up for having a party however, Circus' idea of a party is a rubbish sound system and cheesy commercial music. It was great when people started dancing on the main stage, but people's enthusiasm can only last so long when the music and sound system are not good. It felt a little dated, and each time we asked the DJ to play something a bit cooler and more relevant, the whole place started dancing again. We noticed there seemed to be an issue with (we assume the manager) and the DJ as whenever the DJ played a decent track people liked, the 'manager' would storm over to the DJ and demand he played the rubbish stuff again, which people then stopped dancing again. Shouldn't the 'manager' just let a DJ be a DJ? As a result, things filtered out really quickly when it could have been a 5 star night for the remaining couple of hours. Circus has a 2:30am license and the set up to be so much more, but for some reason they do not want to emphasise all their assets. It could be one of THE go-to places in London, but for now at least, it's just good for a meal with friends, see a few performers, but plan to go somewhere better afterwards should you wish to carry on the night.

The positives include professional and pleasant staff, a very smart modern setting and bursts of entertainment of a quite high calibre. The negatives, on our visit, was a lack of atmosphere as the space is fairly large, the food was hot and quite tasty but not great value with three courses and two bottles of wine resulting in the cost per person of £65, I know that we are in central London here however in my view the most enjoyment in this establishment would be later in the evening.

This place was not easily idetifiable to our Uber driver or us but once inside all was good. We had a reservation but I guess we were a bit early for them because we stood at the entrance waiting for our table to be cleaned and set again. We weren't at the main stage table but right behind it or off to the side, however you want to look at it. Service was slow but the waitress was very helpful when we did interact with her. My friends had Squid Tempura and vegetarian sushi as a starter and I had the Prawn Ha Gau. Their squid was delish, I like mine fried a lil harder but still good. My prawn was kind of boring but delicious, garlic sauce was helpful. As a main course I had fillet steak, so good, med rare(a lil pink) and the sauce was bomb (my friend actually poured it on the Jasmine rice once I was done with it.) As for the entertainment, it was interesting, a good show but not something I need to partake in again. It made the service slow and it dragged because it seemed like they were trying to keep us there to the end.

I visited here last night with my friends for one of their birthdays. The cocktails were lovely as was the food, although the food seemed to be very over priced for the small amount you get. Our waitress was very lovely though, got us anything we asked for and even took us for a dance after the food! The show was okay, some of the acts were amazing but others seemed a little boring, the show was also very short for what I was expecting. Had a lovely evening

We went more because of the shows that are presented during dinner every hour. The food was surprisingly well cooked for a cabaret restaurant with efficient staff. Everything which was ordered (korean chicken, beef fillet , dim sum) was tasty and a bit original. So you can go for the show and for the food

I visited here with 4 colleagues for an alternative baby shower. We wanted something a bit different and fun without all the balloons and nappy cakes! The mum to be nearly went into early labour she was laughing so hard!! On first sight the restaurant looked tired, scaffolding up, dirty entrance. We went in and were greeted by 3 different waitresses and shown to a table near to the front so we had a good view. Inside was a bit murky and smelt of food. As there was 5 of us we had to have the sharing menu so nothing for us to choose. It was pricey at £60 a head incl a glass of prosecco. However everything we had was gorgeous, well cooked, amazing flavours and well presented. There was so much of it as well. It just kept coming!! They really looked after the veggie in our party, bringing her seperate food and well cooked stuff for the mum to be. Pudding was served in individual bento boxes which was a nice touch. So far so good... onto the main event. There was a really mixed bag of people in the restaurant that night and it was about 3/4 full, 50/50 male and female, even a 70 year old granny out with her family. The acts came on about every 15 mins. They started off a bit cheesily/seedily and then got into the actual circus skill. The guys and girls are very talented there's no doubt about that. However the girls wore costumes that wouldn't have looked out of place in a lap dancing club - a fluorescent face was the only thing covering one girls modesty at one point. The finale of the fire breather and her flaming nipple tassels had us in stitches, it was very clever but just so very weird!! I'm glad we went, it was definitely a good experience, best to go with a group of pals and have a laugh as we did over some drinks. I won't forget it in a hurry!!

If you're going - go with a big group (at least 12) and book the stage table. We had an amazing time. Yes, we had a set menu and the meal was a bit rushed -- we only had half an hour for each course between acts during which they set the table, brought out the food, waited for us to eat (10-15 min) and then cleared everything away. And yes, after 2+ hours they asked us to leave the table and set a table for us in the back by the bar. But it was SO worth it. The acts were literally right in front of us. We could reach out and touch them. A lot of fun. The food itself was very good. The beef especially was top notch. The cocktails excellent as well. All in all a very enjoyable evening,

Booked a table for 10 and although we were not on the stage table, we had a great view. Food was lovely and they were able to cater to me being a vegan. Yes slightly overpriced, but it was a very good night. We saw about 4 acts and was there from 7-9.15. All my guests loved it and i'd recommend it for a celebration. Check your bill when they give it to you if you pre-pay the deposit as mine was not removed at first!

Overrated on food but entertainment good. Small venue and very busy. Limited food menu, average and overpriced. Cocktails good. Burlesque and trapeze and Bollywood acts great. Mistress of ceremonies tried too hard, cringey one liners to mostly male customers. Loud noisy groups at main table. Music good. Service ok. I was served my beer in a bottle, no glass provided. Lovely tall server tried to get us a table at the bar after our meal but no luck. Wouldn't go back.

i paid over £80 for hardley any food and no alcohol. Saw abotu 3 acts all in all... i would never go back. I spoke with them at length beforehand and said i was vegan and was told i would be catered for. They did bring me vegan food EVENTUALLY and it was nasically nothing.... how i ended up paying £80 il never know.

We hosted our summer party for our team in circus last week and yet again they have exceeded our expectation. The friendly team welcomed our group with a chilled glass of chilled bubbly on arrival and made them feel very special. The entertainment was fantastic and the verity of new acts were truly amazing. The atmosphere is unique and very magical. I must compliment the team that were extremely accommodating for all the last minute dietary requirements and ensured all our team have a fantastic culinary experience. As for the rest of the team the feedback was just fantastic , we loved it. Last but not least I would like to thank lukas for being so patient with us throughout the whole process from the inquiry up until the end of the event. I have organised number of large team events in the past and this can be a stressful experience if you do not get a full cooperation from the venue . Thanks again for making our event such a great success. We will definitely come again.
