This was a great place to relax and enjoy some delicious wine and cheese. The host was very accompanying, explaining how his menu worked and the various wines he had available. We didn't know much about the different cheeses or meats, so he chose them for us. Highly recommended!!!

We had a great evening at this cute, cosy, small place. We love cheese, so we were delighted by the bar owner's recommendations. The foie gras was also one of the best I've ever tasted. Very nice experience, would definitely recommend it for wine and cheese fans, you will have the chance to taste some very special ones. The owner and the 2 waiters are very friendly and welcoming. He has made us a very nice presentation for each wine that he has recommended, so that it was hard to pick one, as each one of them had some unique characteristics. We have made a reservation in advance, but the bar was not completely full.

Having walked past this place many times, we finally made it in! It did not disappoint! The staff clearly know their stuff about wine and cheese, and are really friendly! We chose a wine and then were recommended two different cheeses- a goats and then a cows cheese! Not knowing much about cheese and wine pairing ourselves, we were really blown away at the delicious cheese and how it was complimented by the tasty red wine! Very generous portions- felt full by the time we left and had only come for an early evening drink! Definitely recommended for people who like cheese and wine and want a typical French experience!

My boyfriend took me here for dinner during a recent weekend break and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting, especially in the Marais/Oberkampf district. We were expertly guided through 3 reasonably priced wines and and some delicious matching cheeses - all of different styles. Melissa chose and explained both wines and cheeses in a relaxed, totally unpretentious and very knowledgeable manner whilst also being an attentive server. Locals were also purchasing wine to take away and also to enjoy 'eating in' with cheese/meat board-always a good sign! Very enjoyable.

My husband and I have traveled to Paris many times but we're looking for new things to experience. We love cheese and wine and a friend recommended us to try La Vache dans les Vignes; you can smell it from outside! Well we walked in thinking we would take some goods to go, but it was a bit drizzly and decided to stay in. We had a lovely hand selected cheese platter from the hostess who asked us what we liked and offered us her favorites. My husband also got a meat (beef) option (I'm vegi) which he devoured. Our host selected us some fabulous reds (not bias but just happend to be what we were drinking that day). To say the least, customer service was fantastic!!!

We (three friends) went here for an early dinner one friday night. The idea that you choose a wine and they supply cheeses and meats to go with is pretty original. We had a great time; the wine suggestions were very good, our sommelier was open and frank regarding the prices, the meats and cheeses were superb too. It's a small place so you might want to reserve a place just in case...

The Tunisian-borne owner/waiter is delightful and certainly knows his wine and cheeses. We went for a wine and cheese tasting and he suggested we add some ham varieties as well. Beware, it's open for lunch but not open mid-afternoon. There are very few tables, maybe two tables to seat six each and two two-seater outside. Republique is the closest metro. The canal across the street makes for an interesting stroll.

Located in the Canal St. Martin area, this little wine and cheese place was a perfect stop! The staff are extremely attentive and kind and recommend wines and cheeses to suite your personal taste! We ended up spending quite some time here.

We were looking for a wine bar and ended up stopping here as we had a few hours before dinner. We ended up wishing we hadn't made dinner plans! The service was wonderful, as was the wine, cheese, and meat. We started by selecting a bottle of wine (you can choose bottle or order by glass but bottle is better if you're getting cheese/meats as well) then our server carefully curated a selection of three cheeses. We had goat, cow, and sheep milk cheeses, all of which were fantastic. A bottle of wine, three cheeses, and one meat for our group of 4 was about 15 Euros each, which I found to be very reasonable. I will definitely be returning!

We really enjoyed our visit. The owner is an expert in cheese and very friendly. He also speaks English well, which non-french speaking visitors like us know how precious it is to find. They didn't have a menu, but we ended up happy with what he suggested to us.

Me and my wife spent about 3 hrs in here...we came to Paris for a concert and we wanted to have an early dinner so around 4 we went here and spent almost 3 hrs!!!! The 2 person working there knows everything you need to know about cheeses and hams and wine so they can really customize the menu for your tastes. We had 3 splendid cheeses (and huge portions too) one goat one cow and one mixed plus French ham, Italian ham and one special thing I never tried: raw ham from beef. Beautiful. We had plenty of good bread (and of course butter!) and wine was stunning. The combinations proposed were excellent and we ate so much that we didn't eat anything else at night (we were still fully satisfied at 12 am and we are people who likes to eat a lot). It was the best tasting I have ever done (so far) and I have done many! At the end we paid around 70 euro for all this plus 5 glasses of wine (and they offered a delicious cider at the end). We were very happy to invest 3 hrs out of our 36 hrs planned in Paris and we don't regret it! I would suggest this place to all cheese and ham passioned people, you are going to love this place for the rest of your life ;-)

My wife and I spent a brilliant couple of hours here with a bespoke tasting menu of three cheeses, three wines and a little charcuterie. The owner (I wish I'd got his name) was attentive and knowledgeable and sleected the wines based on our preferences. They were all delicious, and the classily-presented cheese was some of the best we've tasted. Afterwards we had a long chat with the owner about local eateries, tourism and '80s pop music! Recommended to anyone.

Lovely shop, the customer service is great, we had a tasting of 3 cheeses, 1 salami and 4 wines paired with them, also we had bread. They explained us (in English) where the cheese and wines came from and also talked about the taste and characteristics of each. All of the courses were delicious. We even bought a bottle at the end to take with us, because we liked it so much! The location is very convenient about 5 minutes walk from the republique metro station, right in front of the canal.

Amazing experience! We were in Paris 5 days and it was the only place we went to twice. The first time we got a bottle of red, a bottle of white, a cheese and a meat platter. The second time we got a bottle of white, platter of cheese, and two glasses of red. Both times it was the best wine/cheese I have ever had! The pairings were phenomenal, the staff was so kind and informative, their communication in English was perfect. If you are in Paris, especially the Canal St. Martin area, you must come here. In a city of incredible food experiences, this was the best!

Very good quality food and wine at a reasonable price. Superb customer service, the owner was extremely helpful and recommended the cheese and wine as I don't have a clue when it comes to choosing wine lol. I will come back to Paris just to come here again! Absolutely loved it❤️🧀

The restaurant is an opportunity to try a number of different and delicious cheeses in a relaxed atmosphere at reasonable prices. The staff is helpful and quite knowledgeable about cheeses and wine and how to mix and match them. We happened into the restaurant and were extremely pleased by the unhurried, unpretentious, and very accommodating service. And as cheese aficionados, we were also quite pleased by the contents of their cave(s -- wine and cheese!). A nice, light meal along the Canal St. Martin.

Friendly local cheese and wine delight. Suits couples and groups. Thanks to Melissa for providing information on local cheeses that were accompanied by some local wines. Great experience. The cheeses ranging from creamy goat cheese to stilton and some duck sausage. Nice and relaxing

Had dinner here with my girlfriend and had a great time. Talked with the owner who was extremely knowledgeable about everything in his shop. Shop is small but worth the visit. Wish we could come back sooner!
