We lways make a trip down to La Regalade just this side of the peripherique when in Paris. Our first visit after Oliver Clarke taking over, so we were going with fingers crossed. All is well. This bistrot is for me like seeing an old friend. Comfortable, and you know what to expect. As long as they keep doing what they do best — fab comfort food and a local neighbourhood atmosphere — we'll keep returning. The Riz au lait alone is worth the Metro ride. :)

I came here with my child and my friends. Waiters welcomed us with sarcastic laugh (because we are asian people? never seen one in my life before), asked my 2-year old to stop laughing during dinner (OMG), and served us in a really rude way. The most horrible thing was 3 of them continuously make fun of us in front of us in French (they thought we did not understand, but I actually did). Just wow. Will never come back. Un restaurant raciste et malpoli.

I routinely spend long periods of time in Paris. This is the worst meal I have had there in a long time. The service was terrible. We had a 3 course meal and waited 45 minutes to order - and then 45 minutes between each course. So the dinner took over 3 hours. I should have guessed that the service would be awful when the waiter tipped a full glass of wine into my neighbor's lap. The food was relatively expensive for the neighborhood (37 euros for the set menu) and unexciting. A tartare appetizer turned out to just be some lumps of fish. My wife's fish main course arrived 5 minutes after everyone else's, and was cold. The wine was good - but overpriced at 39 euros for a 20 euro cote du rhone. My friends picked it. They hadn't been there for over a year. None of us will return.

Skip a meal beforehand because it is a very generous place. The Grand Marnier soufflé was unforgettable. Like the one special kiss that you remember 30 years later. We discussed why this restaurnant is such a huge hit with travellers when it is so out of the way. We identified hat it is very very clean with a reassuring retro decor, the servers are thankfully missing that obnoxious Paris attitude, the quality French ingredients are presented with a theatrical twist so it is fun, the generous portions and the magic of the universe that it all works so well together. The food was delicious from the moment we walked in the door (paté with little pickles, duck with celery root etc, chicken with parsnips jerusalem artichokes etc, the amazing grand marnier souffle and then homemade Madeleines) to the moment we paid. It is old fashioned, elegant and probably the cleanest bistro I ever gone to in Paris. 20/20 points to the waiters who had a full house to deal with and managed to refill our water jug twice. Some restaurants cater towards women and some men. La Régalade caters to handsome men. It had a higher concentration of good looking, stylish, well dressed men than any restaurant I've been to in ages. As they entered the front door one after one, it was almost funny. Perhaps the food appeals to handsome locals which attracts women tourists so the men in the restaurant can influence her partners style or lack thereof.

The service was nice, very kind.. the food not so much. The sardines at antree and de veau as the main dish was blend, whithout flavor, whithout salt, kind of hospital food. The food need more soul!! The experience was not bad, but i think that for 140 € for 2 person and 1 child, we could eat better on many places on 14eme.

We were four people. We selected different meals to share. The service was fast and effective. The staff was friendly and very helpful in the selection. We enjoyed our time there. This is a top place to stop by.

Charming small intimate neighborhood bistrot with a long history and a new chef. It was crowded with a boisterous crowd seeming to enjoy their evening. The food is somewhat unique, cold cucumber soup, grilled lamb on a bed of melon are examples. The food was well prepared and enjoyable, good wine list with very reasonable prices.

We searched out this restaurant as we have a cook book that featured some recipes from the chef and boy are we happy that we came. The food is truly outstanding, the service was great and ambiance superb. This is now one of our main recommendations for friends who are coming to Paris and want to experience something more authentic than the normal tourist restaurants in central Paris.

The food was delicious! The setting was a perfectly quaint Parisian restaurant. The white wine was smooth and delightful. The staff was courteous. It was a true gen in the area.

Four of us had dinner here& it was very good. There was a complementary terrine & gherkins which were delicious. Staff & service was excellent. Our booking through La Fourchette hadn't arrived but we were accommodated without a fuss. Worth the trip out.

We had an amazing meal here - a wonderful experience which was the highlight of our trip to Paris. The food was rich and authentic - pate followed by scallops, then tuna and a memorable soufflé for desert. Excellent value and the service is superb. The restaurant is buzzing with a vibrant atmosphere. The new chef patron Oliver Clarke is one to watch.

Our dinner at La Régalade was absolutely delicious! The prix fixe menu was a great deal- and each table was also served complementary terrine and cornichons- a really nice touch. The service was great and the restaurant itself had a very friendly and intimate vibe. We're already looking forward to going again the next time we're in Paris. Reservations are recommended!

My wife and I had first met the above chef at Fish La Boissonnerie on the Rue de Seine. We were so happy to learn that he is now the owner of this acclaimed restaurant at 49 avenue Jean Moulin. As the owner and head chef of this restaurant his talents shine. At 37 Euros for three courses this is a bargain. We had pate, foie gras, gazpacho, tuna, monkfish followed by delectable soufflé and chocolate. Superb meal, fine wine and attentive service. Cannot wait to return. Bravo Oliver!

This review is for the location in the 14th. Biggest issue was that my daughter and I (note we are two women) arrived at 7:30 and there were only two or three tables filled yet the waiter tried to seat us at the table next to the kitchen door. I thought I might be imaging some form of discrimination either because we are American or because we were women, but after I politely requested another table, I noticed that he did not even attempt to seat any one else at this table, until (wait for it....) an hour later when there were still deuces open, and he seated two women there!! Even my daughter said, 'now that is suspect." He proceeded to be rude to us the entire night. Maybe because we are American?? who knows. I did try to speak French which he ignored (my french ain't so bad, once lived in Paris....) If the food had been over the top then maybe, but it was good not great. The Souffle and Rice pudding which were so highly recommended were blah.. oh, well.

I'm even afraid to write what an amazing place this is. The staff here are just amazing and so nice is not enough to express how great they are. Many thanks Cyril for your kind attention. Food is soul comforting and beyond what you may think. it's like going home to grandmas kitchen. Deserts are equally yummy and the rest is just history at this amazing place. Beyond recommended!

My second visit was at observatories location. I reviewed. Disappointed after my first visit at jean moulin location. Decided to go back to the jean moulin location to erase the bad taste I had in my mouth. Glad I did. Everything was excellent. Can't go wrong with any of the food. Service much better and more willing to explain. No snootiness. I will be back. Spend money on good French food you won't regret it!

Have been going to this place for years and they never fail to disappoint. Real food, ample portions, no dots on plates. Good authentic bistro with tasty food.

this was the last evening after three work days in Paris, before heading home to Israel. The experience was just perfect. Great food, unique and excellent, starting with the pork pate and bread, then the straters (Royale de foie gras!), main courses (specifically enjoyed the bourguignon and fish) and desserts (we took four and all excellent). Service was proffesional and fast. Highly recommended.

Everything is what we expected. Like most restaurants in Paris, it's smallish but quaint with friendly, attentive and courteous staff. We had reservations at 8pm and the place was just packed out. Their complimentary terrain with accompaniment and of course bread was delicious. Crowd was a mixture of locals and international businessman. We had 3 course each and enjoyed every dish. Will definitely be back again.
