The hotel was wonderful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was only 3 blocks from a metro stop. Location was perfect with restaurants nearby and free breakfast was great! Located in the middle of the city so easy to get to everything.

We stayed here for three nights, and loved every minute of it. The hotel is situated in the best part of Paris, with lovely restaurants everywere, and with the Notre Dame close by. The service in the hotel was very good.

I spent a weekend at Hotel Quartier Latin with two friends in December. The hotel isn't luxurious, but it was exactly what we needed for a very good price. I'd recommend this place based on price, location, and coziness. Our front-desk receptionist was just lovely. Check-in ran smoothly, and she gave us a map of Paris and plenty of recommendations. The hotel is conveniently located next to a Metro station, and we never had trouble getting anywhere. The room had three single beds, two which were placed next to each other and looked like a double. I was worried that the lone single bed would be child-size but was very happy to find that it wasn't! The room and bathroom were both very spacious -- another pleasant surprise. I was concerned about street noise, as we had a window facing the street. It was a little loud on Friday night, but nothing unbearable. Surprisingly, Saturday night was completely quiet. Still, the noise was not a concern, as we were so tired from seeing Paris every day.

If you are after luxury or a peaceful nights sleep, this is not the hotel for you. If you are looking for somewhere in a decent location that is small, clean and basic then you will enjoy it. Not sure if it's normal in Paris for the door to be locked 24 hours a day and have to be let in from a button on reception - it felt odd not simply being allowed to walk in. The staff were absolutely fantastic and really helpful, no query was too much trouble. From the minute we arrived we were given a map and explanation of how to get to the sights. The Latin Quarter is busy and noisy until the early hours and the hotel is situated on a corner where there are numerous bars and restaurants so if you are a light sleeper be warned, you will not sleep easily. Overall remember you are in Paris to see the sights not to lounge about in a hotel room.

Lovely little hotel for exploring Paris. It's a vibrant area at night so there will be noise. Great staff, really helpful and accommodating. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Situated within walking distance of Notre Dame and Louvre. Also some nice bars and bistros.

We booked four nights for a short break in Paris. Prior to leaving home for Paris I emailed reception for advice to reach the hotel on public transport from CDG airport. The answer was swiftly given and clear, friendly and sound advice and directions which were spot on! The hotel looks welcoming from the front. However our room was basic and simple. Our window didn't close properly, room 103, and therefore we heard all the nightlife loud and clear. It's a definite no frills room but adequate and despite the street noise we both slept well in the bed. Breakfast was fine, plenty on offer. Cheese, ham, pastries, bread, fruit, yoghurt etc and tea and coffee. Perfect. We did enjoy our stay and the hotel did meet our needs. I would say that it does lack a cosy, comfortable, seating area where you could have a coffee or a glass of wine. It does have a seating area but isn't really somewhere you could relax in and watch the world go by. Other than that, the hotel was good value. The area was good too as every morning we made the short walk to Notre Dame to sit at a lovely cafe and take in its beauty.

I've used to hear a lot about this hotel so I wanted to try it myself. The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, and the location is good for exploring the Latin quarter. The minuses of this hotel is that they don't have soundproof windows and there are some bars around, so if you're sensitive please take it into consideration. Also, the room is very simple and there are not enough power sockets (one is free and I had to take out the lamp and use its power socket for my things).

My boyfriend and I have just been in this hotel for our romantic trip in Paris. the hotel is well located, nice and clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful, the breakfast is ok, nothing special but there is a bit of everything. We loved our bedroom at the 6th floor with a small balcony with view on the street and also the Cathedral of Notre Dame... Definitely recommended!!

Very good ratio prix/quality. If you are looking for a good bed&breakfasthis hotel is perhaps one of the best of the area of Quartier latin and St. Germain. Near to Nostre Dame (7 minuts walking). Friendliness.

Loved loved loved this little hotel. Loved the balcony of my garret room and the location right in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Felt very comfy here - the room ( and double bed) was very small but as it was just me that was fine. Bathroom large - good quality toiletries and white fluffy towels. Friendly staff and decent breakfast. All very clean and interesting literary decor. Would definitely come back but would try and get a larger room with a larger bed if there were two of us.

Very friendly reception staff. Stylish hotel and room. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Room was looking on to the busy street with its trendy bars - a little noisy and wife needed ear plugs, but I liked the vibe - very Parisian. reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed here because it is very near the university that I have to visit. There are also shops and minimarts around. So, location-wise, this is great. The staffs (especially the guy who was there at night) were very nice and helpful. There was a noise over the street, but that didn't bother me (I have the windows closed). In fact, I enjoyed watching people on the busy street quite a bit. The only (rather big) problem is that the internet didn't always work. Very often, especially at night, it either was very slow or did not work at all. Since a steady internet connection is very important for me, I will stay somewhere else next time.

Loved the location. Nice sized room (101) with big bathroom with bath. Really helpful and friendly multilingual staff. Very decent breakfast. Lots of street noise but given location this is to be expected.

Never met a friendlier staff on any of our travels in US or Europe. Put out earlier breakfast for our group of 6 on 2 different mornings due to early tours. Followed us out to taxi to make sure driver had directions in French so there was no confusion. Yes to small rooms and elevator, but A/C worked great which is unusual in many European hotels. Hotel is a little dated but clean. Yes to noisy parties in bar across the street. Needed to wear ear plugs on 2 of our 4 nights. Pros outweighed cons - would stay again.

Maybe it was because I was there just one night (end of June) but I was in a spacious triple with a large bathroom! After an overnight flight then walking around for several hours to stay awake and try get on top of a 9-hr time zone change, I was delighted to have a bathtub to soak in. The room overlooked the side street rue d'Arras and was surprisingly quiet for the neighbourhood. The lobby library was attractive and the staff were nice and helpful. Although I liked the pictures and theme of authors in the room, the rest of the decor wasn't memorable. The location was excellent. I would stay here again.

Stayed here in November and loved it. The staff is very friendly. It's a small but very quaint hotel. Two people plus luggage is max on the elevator. The included breakfast is delightful. It is setup in the bottom floor of the hotel. They let us use that area for our dinner that we brought back after picking up some delicious meats and cheese from nearby specialty shops. Our room overlooked the street in front. With the windows closed, the outside noise couldn't be heard. Or maybe I'm a deep sleeper. Wonderful restaurants and cafes within walking distance and shopping up the street as well. Everything was conveniently located nearby, even a terrific Asian food restaurant only 4 blocks up. Would definitely stay at this wonderful hotel again.

Just a hotel. Room ok good hot shower. No kettle. Most of the staff speak English didn't find them overly friendly though. Excellent spot walking distance to most of the big attractions. Breakfast a bit light on my husband and don enjoyed it though.

The hotel quartier Latin is difficult to review because it is so average. What you will appreciate the most of this hotel is its strategic position in Paris, which will save you precious time to get around. The atmosphere at the lobby is very nice, with full height bookcases and elegant decor. The surprises end there though. The rooms are small (normal in the Parisian context), well cleaned, with good sized bathrooms. Everything is quite ordinary in the comforts of the rooms. Make sure you go to the top floors as the night life of quartier Latin is noisy. The breakfast is again very average with standard buns, jams, ham, yogurts. The fruit is unripe and generally you won't be inspired. After the first breakfast we decided to go to nearby boulangeries that offer very high quality breakfast at half the price of the hotel.
