This old and famous restaurant is only its own shadow. Food is without taste when not bad and the price is a rip off. Everything looks old and broken. Clearly either a tourist trap or a gathering place for people with Alzheimer's

We were invited by a friend from Paris who recommended the "Chez Frezet". The food was great, also the ice cream (pear) and the wine. The waitress was a catastrophe. In fact she spoilt the great impression the resto had made all in all. She was slow, unfriendly, crossed the room with empty hands not looking at the guests. We first thought that she was annoyed by the nearby sitting American family due to language problems. But since we talked to her in French (mother tongue) we could find out that it was simple unfriendlyness that characterized her. She forgot two out of four recommendations, the desserts for three people (in an only half- filled restaurant) came one after the other instead of together. The coffee for my friend was forgotten, even after the second order. I am a frequent traveller and very generous, but it was the first time that I did not give any tip. What a pity to employ such a bad waitress in such a nice Michelin awarded restaurant.

This restaurant has a gorgeous interior, with lovely white tablecloths and lovely art work on the walls. Staff are extremely friendly and polite. The food is of a high standard and the wine is delicious.I had a lovely aubergine starter followed by the sea bass, absolutely wonderful! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and unlike some others in Paris, it is open on a Monday! I will go back on my next visit to Paris without doubt.

I was extremely satisfied with the food and staff. Everything was fresh and delicious. Amazing Foie Gras! We reserved a table on TripAdvisor while walking around the streets of Paris and after about 2 hours we got our table ready as well as 20% off of the total Bill!

very detailed menü in french, makes difficult to select what to eat. however you should not hesitate too much since almost everything in the menü is delicious and cooked very carefully. location of the restorant is not very attractive , North suburb of Paris, however it worth go and try different tastes. waitress are a little bit snob to explain the menu, and price is very reasonable for a michelin star restaurant.

Staying at the Best Western Prince Montmartre, we have in the past had a look at the menu outside the nearby Chez Frezet, noted its prices and walked on by. Last Sunday 17 August, with many local bars and restaurants closed, we noticed by chance that Chez Frezet was open and has now extended its lunchtime "Menu Bistrot" to the evenings. It is only available in the smaller dining area at the restaurant entrance but dishes are beautifully presented and served and I am sure would not disgrace the main dining area. Two courses (4 choices for each) were €16.90, three were €19.90, and a half litre pichet was €7.00: the check stated "Service Compris". Our French is pretty good but we had to resort to the Google translator for many items on the menu! We ate well and were well looked after by the staff.

I had dinner there over a week ago with a colleague of mine, and I was extremely satisfied with the great quality of the food and the kind and efficient staff. This is an excellent restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, located on a quiet avenue. The food was outstanding and well presented. I will definitely return there and will not hesitate to recommend to friend and colleagues visiting Paris.

We had the salmon tartare and the terine, both were great! The pork cassoulet with peas and the veg lasagna were average and the beef tartare very good. The chocolate mousse was the best ever. Polite service. Lots of locals.

We were a group of 10 and the staff managed very well the service. On the food side, cannot say it was a great meal, average for me. I had the menu of the day, to ease the service, asparagus to start, rabbit with tarragon sauce (very good). Wine choice is wide. Could go back if we are a group, otherwise, will try to find a better one.

Happened to being the area in need of lunch on a Monday so popped in. Bistro type menu looked good and so it proved to be. Attentive services and main couse for me was swordfish really meaty and tasty and lots of it too. So good in fact no room for a pudding. Would recommend it as a good lunch nitro. No idea about the posh restaurant end of their restaurant though.

We had a group booking of around 30 and were surprised by the space , decor, food and service which were all at the top end of the ratings. Don't be fooled by the roadside view as the restaurant opens out at the back with a good space for a group, which is separated by glass from the regular table setting area. Food is traditional French, good quality and quantity, nice wine as well. Good night out.

Who knew that this great little Jewel was there?! Well, luckily, someone in our group knew about this place. It was fantastic, The menu was varied and certainly had something for everyone. The service was excellent and we are all ready to go back for more next time we are in Paris.

Very atmospheric restaurant with three distinct sections. Great service, attentive, pleasant and friendly. The plates are delicious, Noix de St. Jacques, fois gras, etc. heavenly. The portion of chocolate mousse big enough to not being able to finish it! It is not cheap but good value for the quality served. I'll be back for sure. It was a joy in every regard.

We have just had an excellent meal at this restaurant. The menu was varied and good value. The restaurant was busy on a Friday night, full of French people which is always a good sign. Our food was well prepared and very tasty, the wine list was well matched to the menu and reasonable value. Service was professional and efficient, and the Patron was charming and helpful.

Newly refurbished the food is good and the set is perfect with its winter garden... Next to the famous "Cité des Artistes in Montmartre" it is an enjoyable spot from coffee to Drunch and late souper...

We were staying in a hotel near this restaurant. On our final day, based on recommendation of folk we had met, we went here for lunch. The decor is really good and layout of a small bistro bar then opens up to a larger restaurant outside. The waiter welcomed us in English before reaching us 2 French Menu. He then returned and offered us a menu on IPad in English. One of the menu in French was small and was €16.90 per head for 2 courses, whilst the other appeared extensive and was priced at €29 per head. The English version was short and in out ignorance we ordered from this assuming it was the €16.90 menu translated. Food was delicious and presented well. I ordered crepe suzette which was an additional €3. Sure it was our last day / meal. Bill came and we had been charged €29 each for food instead of €16.90. I asked the waiter to clarify - my mate had ordered 2 scoops of ice cream which was apparently wasn't the ice cream on the cheaper menu but from the dear menu and I had ordered the crepe (which had a surcharge of €3) which again was from the dearer menu. The main courses were in the cheaper menu. These 2 desserts which we had assumed were on the cheaper menu cost an additional charge of over €12 each. As I said it was our last day and we had enjoyed the food. But I feel the translation issue was used by the waiter to enable a higher bill. Needless to say no tip left on this occasion. I would go back as food was excellent but would be more careful of the menu, costs and translations. Can only blame myself. GAWA

A bit hard to work out the menu but the 16.90 for two courses was very good value and the food was delicious! The swordfish entree was to die for. Service was quite good, not intrusive. We had a bit of trouble getting water glasses but our French was useless so not their fault.the four of us had an excellent meal and went away stuffed. The wine is expensive but this is Paris.

After many wonderful meals in Paris, we went here based on Michelin Guide reviews. We didn't have a reservation, so we sat in the front area because they said they were booked. After we didn't order drinks immediately, the waiter ignored us completely, even sat another party right next to us, served them bread and drinks and proceeded to look away every time we tried to get his attention. I think this is the only time in 5 years we have left a restaurant after looking forward to a great experience.

On our first trip to Paris on our last night we decided to go here for a late anniversary dinner. We were recommended by our airbnb host who said it's fabulous but a little expensive, but coming from London it seemed totally reasonable to me. Me and my boyfriend got a starter, main, desert, bottle of wine, and two espressos and it came to well under 100. Considering how much flavour was in their food they could be charging much more. I would recommend the chocolate mousse in particular, I've never had a mousse so dense and rich. The waitress was lovely and funny and showed us an English menu on an ipad as we were trying and failing to understand the French one. In short, not too expensive place for incredible food.
