We arrived at the reception and found out we had been put on the third floor after asking for a high level apartment, the receptionist immediately changed us to an eighth floor apartment. The apartment was very clean and very well equipped. We had a wonderful fortnight again, we have been to this accommodation now for three consecutive years.

Reception couldn't speak very good english. Which is obviously my fault for not learning french. However can't learn every language for a holiday. Decent Place to stay and reasonably priced, some lifts weren't working when we stayed so morzine wasn't accessible without a car (if walking) but Avoriaz is a good center to stay if you want to do some of the other parks. Weather was a bit of a let down as we woke every day to SMOG/FOG where as in morzine it was always sunny. Facilities were good although again alot of shops and restaurants/bars were shut. It does seem more geared up for the ski season but would be nice if they pushed it more for bikes in the summer aswell I has the potential to be the best place in Europe for biking but they don't seem too bothered at the moment. All in all a decent place/base with good facilities and nice scenery. People were friendly.

Really nice hotel, very large rooms with great views of Avoriaz. This hotel is in a great location, with shops and restaurants a couple of minutes walk away. We were able to ski from the front of the hotel down to ski school. Would recommend Avoriaz for first time skiiers as there are lots of lovely green runs.

Fine apartments with fantastic view over Avoriaz. Pistes are very easily accessed and yet it is no problem to go to the center af the town. Children will be happy with the surroundings so it's also a safe place to go.

This is a great accomdation choice - spacious, comfortable, modernly furnished and equipped appartments with south facing sun trap balconies. Avoriaz facilities just moments away it's s great location too. Ski slopes barely 5 mins away. If you're travelling with young children or groups and want accomdation that is spacious, safe and secure, clean and next to the slopes then this is it. I've skied across most of Europe for last 30 years and paid double/triple the cost of here for far inferior accomdation and facilities. All shops for self catering minutes away and offer everything. I can't praise it enough - excellent value for money. If you're dissapointed in anything thing then you're nit-picking for the sake of it. Book it before it's sold out - you'll regret it if you don't.

Surprisingly spacious apartment. The balcony in particular was a really good size. It was very comfortable for a family of four with 2 children (ages 3&6). It was clean and everything was provided for a self catering stay. Beds did need to be made and weren't large, however clean. We used to pull down bed above the beds in the bedroom and this added to the space nicely. Not a huge amount of bedroom storage but the cupboard in the hallway and lounge made up for it. Overall very pleased with Altair and are looking to return!

Superior apartment was very smart and clean. Top floors have excellent views. Boot room very convenient. Close to the crèche and ski down to ski-school easily. Escalators from the town a few streets below make it easy to get around on foot.

Stayed there for a week.. i will start by stating that its not a 4 star lodging option by no means( and i suggest "forgetting the star system when choosing lodgings in French ski resorts!) Its a very small and basic apartment- we were 3 people and quite cramped But it has all necessary equipment , nice view and is clean.... All in all its ok- just don't have expectations to much comfort but more to a basic hostel Kind of place

I am giving these apartments 4 stars because although these were the best ski apartments we have stayed in over 30 years, Pierre & Vacances need to do more. On the plus side (in an apartment for 5) were: 1. No bunk beds in the cold entrance, instead a separate room with twin beds and wardrobe (yes, there is a pull-out bed above the twin beds but we didn't use it) 2. Separate toilet with washbowl 3. Microwave at a sensible height 4. Ski lockers with boot warmers 5. Lovely view without being overlooked When there's lots of snow you can ski out and ski in but the resort's own traffic do their utmost to ensure that when there isn't much snow, it gets churned up as quickly as possible and disappears. On the downside were: 1. The sofa bed in the living room was uncomfortable for two (squeaky, bouncy and dipping in the middle) but fortunately there was spare bedding for one of us to sleep on the cushioned benches. 2. Pierre & Vacances give guests a leaflet (badly translated into English - surely the company can afford a proper translator?) which includes in gobbledegook their commitment to the environment. However there was not enough suitable crockery to cover more than one meal -and, as there is no draining board, we had to use the dishwasher less than half full. We asked for more mugs (we had 3) but were told there weren't any. There was no inventory. There was a broom but no dustpan, so when we had crumbs on the floor we had to use the vacuum cleaner. 3. No instructions were provided for either microwave or dishwasher. These were both complicated machines. We probably wasted electricity and water because we had to guess which buttons to press. 4. Microwaves use less electricity than hobs so why don't they encourage their use by providing suitable containers with lids? Providing only enormously large and heavy bowls is just thoughtless. 4. The rubbish room of other apartment blocks has disappeared and all waste has to be taken outside to the designated bins. Unfortunately the way this has to be sorted is not mentioned in the leaflet. The faded labels on the bins are in French only with the result my husband didn't understand that "Emballages" covers plastic bottles and tins and in spite of the fact I had rinsed them all out he put them in with household waste. So although I'm giving 4 stars for the apartment I'm only giving 2 stars to Pierre & Vacances for not doing more for the environment

We stayed in this hotel for a week with a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens). Once we arrived, our check in was fast and easy and we got to our apartment promptly. It was very spacious as it was for 5 people and we found this useful and more comfortable from our previous visit. The apartment was well equipped and included a kitchen with all the essentials . The hotel is conveniently in walking distance from everything and it only takes roughly 5 minutes to walk to the town. You can also ski in and out from the hotel, or take the public passageway down to the town in a matter of minutes. The staff were friendly and kept the hotel in good condition. You can order food from the bakery for the next day at the reception, which is very convenient as it saves you walking all the way to the bakery every morning. Each room has a ski room cupboard which is large and equipped with boot warmers (this is nice to come back to after after a break) and space to put your skis. In the hotel there is also a spa but we did not visit it as our stay was a skiing holiday. I recommend staying here if you are a family looking for a comfortable stay in this well equipped and kid friendly hotel.

The apartments are beautifully furnished, the best skiing apartments I've seen in my eight ski trips across Europe. Good size kitchen and table area, modern hob, microwave, kettle etc. All the apartment was very clean on arrival, bathroom was spotless. Great individual lockable ski lockers with heaters for boots and gloves.

The Atria hotel Is a no nonsense self catering apartment hotel for alpine skiers. You can ski in and out of the accommodation. The apartments have everything you need for basis cooking ( breakfast and dinner) and you are in easy walking distance from restaurants and bars. Every room has a great view of the slopes ( depending on the weather).

I stayed with two friends in this apartment, and it was good. We are all fanatic wintersport fans, and this area is just great to go to. Five years ago I stayed here as well and I was gladly surprised by the refurbished apartments. Now with heated lockers, a clean and updated apartment. Location is good, two flights of public stairways away from the main Street. I am however always surprised by the looks of the outside of the buildings (especially comparing it to Austria). But don't be taken aback, the inside is good!

Great place to stay, easy access to shops and slopes. Great views . Secure boot room with good sized lockers and heaters . Pillows were a bit of a disappointment though. Lifts to all floors. Can pick up your croissants from 7am. Magic.

Good accommodation and location. Easy access to the centre of Avoriaz (when all the escalators are working!!). Ski in - Ski out. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (no ensuite) apartment: very small master bedroom. Good size kids bedroom. Very large family room (sofa not very comfortable!) with balcony (nice view). Adequate kitchen. Average storage.

We enjoyed a family ski holiday in the crozats atria apartments. The rooms were laid out well with good kitchen cutlery pots plates etc. A courtesy wash up pack was provided too. The rooms were toasty warm and although you have to make your own beds on arrival at least you could see how clean the mattresses and bedding was. Take your own pillows though. All of ours had stains and we're too flat for really raising your head on. Great location to ski straight into and a couple of escalators take you into the beautiful village.

We had a 5 people apartment for the 4 of us (family of 4 with 2 teens). It is reasonably spacious and well equipped. The hotel is ski in and ski out so it is convenient and it makes it that much more enjoyable. It is only 5-8 minutes to the centre of the resort. Wi-fi is available in the room for 20 euros for the week. This allows up to 5 devices to connect concurrently. The wi-fi is reliable and fast enough. The ski room is great. You have plenty of space to keep your skis and they have boot warmers. It is great to put on nice warm boots in the morning. Nice touch. You can order bakery the evening before (by 7pm) and collect from 7am in the morning. This is really convenient. The price is the same as going to the bakers. Great service. The staff are very friendly and they work hard to keep the hotel clean and tidy. In summary, it is a great apartment, we will definitely return. Highly recommended. Tips: Transfer is included. On arrival, you need to go to the welcome centre to get a voucher for the transfer to the hotel. They will not let you on unless you have the voucher. They are very efficient so you do not need to wait long before the next one as you can only fit 10 people in each. Allow 20-30 minutes to get to the welcome centre. To get to the town, you do not need to follow the road. As you come out the front of the hotel, to the left, there is a public passage with an up escalator that makes the journey back less tiring. When you come out at the bottom, just in front (slight right), there is another passage that will take you to the main high street. You get 3 dishwasher tablets. It is much cheaper to bring some from home then to buy locally.

Stayed on the 5th Floor in the Althena Apartment within the Le Crozats area. Literally a 1 minute ski to ski school drop off and easy access to the main pistes. 3 minute ski to the town, where you can get a button lift back up then ski back to apartment, or take the escalator. Sometimes these weren't working but its still only a 10 minute walk back from town. If you've been to the supermarket a horse & carriage was 9euros. Apartment was huge; with two large bedrooms, separate bathroom, separate shower room and toilet. Spacious kitchen with all facilities required and open plan sitting room and lounge area. Very clean and had all towels and bedding ready to make up the beds. Only gripe i had was it said they had hair dryers available to hire, but they didn't. Hardly something to complain about though... Overall brilliant apartment, perfect location and cannot wait to return!

The apartment was fine for me and my son with him taking the bedroom and I the sofa bed. It was warm, the better wifi option worked and every morning we breakfasted with a stunning view and every evening enjoyed the evening sun. The staff were friendly and efficient and the ski locker was quite roomy. An enjoyable stay.
