Wonderful enviroment but the staff is very unfriendly and difficult to communicate. We were planing to drink something before getting in to the museum but we couldn't order as we couldn't speak Spanish. Going to the pier is a better alternative.

The location sells this place, being located in a protected walled garden with a small pond and orange trees while having La Rambla as a neighbor. The food was ok, but nothing serious compared to the other restaurants in the area, like La Crema Canela.

We stumbled on this restaurant by accident, and we're delighted! It's sited in the vaulted ship building area of the museum, so is light and airy with exposed brickwork and high ceilings. The staff are efficient...although they were more functional than friendly... But the food was plentiful and very well cooked. 3 courses and a drink for €11 each-excellent value.

Situated in the old Barcelona shipyards, the building is interesting, but the contents, not so much. Restaurant so bad, not even worth discussing. There are much, much better things to do with ones time in Barcelona.

Luckily this attraction was 5 minutes from my hotel, I enjoyed the experience and the attraction. However, I had already eaten so did not use the restaurant services. The museum itself was great, very interactive and I enjoyed the videos and different objects and pieces throughout the attraction. Staff seemed friendly enough and I did enjoy the time spent looking around. However, the large boat on show was very beautiful and interesting. That said I could see the piece was under construction still and it would have been great to actually get up and see the internal aspect of the boat. Seemed to be a few different areas under construction which cornered off particular areas. Would have liked to see more but that's obviously uncontrollable and it is off season for tourists. The building was beautiful and so was the outside areas, highly recommend.

Visited it for lunch. Only daily menu, (you can choose between 3 starters / main courses / desserts). Good broccoli cream soup, lovely desserts, waiters speak English. Main courses didn't look very appetizing for me. However, they overcharged us 20€. No fuss when I went to sort it out, but the fairly good impression was spoilt.

WARNING ------to all who plan to visit this museum. There is a professional pickpocket working in the lobby. The scam goes something like this. A man comes up behind you and spill a liquid on your jacket or coat. He offers to help clean you clean it and leads you to the men's room with towels. As you are trying to get the Carmel smelling liquid off your jacket,he goes for your wallet. I was lucky as all he got was some cash I was carrying in my jacket. He is about 5 ft 5" tall and looks to be in his 40s. He targets foreign visitors. I have notified the museum security staff and they offered an apology but there is little else they can do. I am posting this as a warning to others who will visit this otherwise fine museum and restaurant

We had lunch here before visiting the museum. The food was great. The $11 menu is a great deal, includes 3 courses of moderate portico ny and a beer or a glass of wine. By the time we finished the place was full and the staff was overwhelmed.

We ate a nice lunch there (small portions but it si enough with the 3 courses), unfortunately the service was quite poor and we had to pay 5EUR extra fee because we ate outside.... I did not see it anywhere stated,.

Horrible service the staff was more interested in to use Sun blocked than helping us. No help was offered even that I am on crutches and asked for it. First and last time

The outdoor garden is pleasant and shaded by orange trees but the food itself was not that interesting.

Prior to going into the Maritime Museum we decided to sit in the courtyard adjoining the Museum's restaurant and have a refreshing beer. A nice reasonably quite secluded area. You actually don't need to be going into the Museum to take refreshments here.

We ate a set lunch menu. The service was perfect and the food was excellent. Wine very good. Everything well prepared, deserts surprised us nicely. Very well priced for the quality. I would say: do not miss the opportunity to visit this amazing building and stop for eating. You will not regret

Wow. A friend who went to university in Barcelona told us about this hidden gem of a restaurant. For under 12 euros, we had a 3 course meal (mainly fish, of course!) including a glass of wine. Beautiful food, lovingly plated, in a gorgeous sunny space. The museum is also wonderful.

On my first visit to the Maritime Restaurant the food was superb however there is no consistency in the quality of the dishes on day it will be fantastic the next day it will be bland.

This is really a 3.5 out of 5 restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, the food is a cut up from the regular menu del dia offers. It is a bit more expensive at €16 as a result. We fed four adults and one kid for €73. But the service needs more people, the two guys were struggling to keep pace on a Sunday and as a result some of my food was luke warm, drinks took a little too long to come. But still it is a good place to go in the middle of town, nice outside courtyard for warmer days, it just needs a little bit more attention from the management. The museum is also ace by the way...

My sister and I were in need of sustenance after viewing the museum exhibits . The Museum Restaurants " meal of the day" was a 3 course menu of 3 choices each of starter, main and dessert, plus a drink, water, soft drink wine or beer, all for € 10.50. The salad was served with a warm crusty bread roll, our whole fish of the day was beautifully cooked and delicious on its bed of caramelised onion and asparagus, and the pear mousse with white chocolate was a decadent end to the feast. The huge windows of the restaurant looked out on ancient walks and leafy trees sheltering a replica wooden submarine, a tranquil and fascinating view. The waiters were friendly and helpful and appreciated our attempts to use the little Spanish we knew, even joking with us which made us feel we were among friendly people in this wonderful city.

No actual exhibition, only a few boats on display and a Spanish ship is presented . A superbly renovated warehouses! Sure in a few years it will be an interesting museum

We found this place, which is hidden away from noisy La Rambla, while looking for a place to eat. After the waitress did not pay attention to us for 5 minutes did we realize it was a self-service restaurant. We went inside to order and waited another 5 minutes for the bartender to replace the garbage bags instead of taking our order. Meanwhile horrific shouts were coming from the kitchen resembling the last few minutes before someone gets fired. We were then told that the kitchen is closed and we cannot order food. We left and never came back.
