this is a wonderful restaurant, its a pity it is only accessible when you are in Poble Espanyol. they do a wonderful menu del dia during the day. the staff were very helpful with the gluten free options. the food was absolutely wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable. The glasses of sangria are very nice too. will definitely eat here again

The starter with avocado, tomatoes and mozzarella was good, but the main dish (which was the only vegetarian option) was not good at all, just very greasy mushroom croutons accompanied by soggy fries.

It was an excellent feel of local food. For starters we were given eggplant in form of french fries. The best was the jug full of Sangria wine which was so refreshing. The bus goes not go here so you have to walk through the by lanes to come to this eating joint.

Been there during Puble Espaneol visit. The purpose was a drink break and some deserts. The service was slow and some of the items need to be reminded. The desert were simple, some of them I found too sweetie.

Great setting in Poble Espagnol. Interesting and delicious fish entrees with excellent service. The desert was heavenly. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

I ordered a "veal steak", it was horrible. Meat was not at all "medium", and frankly, it was not meat, more like fat and "cores?". Just take a look at the photo. Couldn't eat this, left almost full plate, my waited noticed this and asked another waiter to give me the bill. So after a horrible lunch I had to wait for 5-7 minutes to pay for it. 25€ for the worst meal in Barcelona.

Had a late lunch with family while visiting Poble Espanyol. We had decent paella with Catalan tomato and carlic breads and some wine from quite limited selection. All was ok, nothing special but nothing to comply either. Ok experience.

Found this restaurant during our visit to Poble Espanyol and chose to eat here because the menu clearly states which dishes are gluten free. The waiter was friendly and helpful, explaining the Catalan tradition of rubbing the bread with garlic then tomato, which was delicious, and bringing me gluten free bread. The wild mushroom pie was wonderful, the tastiest gluten free dish I've eaten for a long time. Loved the Catalan style cod too. In fact, enjoyed the whole meal so much, we returned the next day. Tip - because we booked a table for our second visit, there was no charge to go into Poble Espanyol, the restaurant gives a list to security at the gate. The set meal was €22, but we saved the €13 entry fee.

We have spent the day in there for a special event for the kids. It was lunch time and we were searching for a restaurant with no knowledge at all, and we have found this place. Quite a good discovery. A tasty menú for 20 EUR with a good number of starters and main courses with an ending good choice of desserts. A good example of catalan cousine with some international dishes mainly based on meat and grill.

We enjoyed outside dinning, during a visit to Poble Espanols resturant La font de Prades. We had the fixed price menu, at 19.90 euro each our food was very good, we had salad, a mushroom dish, mussels and a pork dish, and very nice garlic bread, and drinks.

We booked a table for 20.00 hrs on 22/07/15 all confirmed over the phone that afternoon for a special occasion .After walking up from the metro on a very hot evening we were told the restaurant closed at 20.00 hrs. The website stated opening hrs were 20.00-22.00.Very disappointing!!

I was excited to have dinner in this restaurant, as it is located in Poble Español and the reviews very pretty good. It is a shame that such a nice traditional place it’s a complete trap for anyone who does not have a clue of Catalan cuisine. I have said it before and I will say it again that service in Spain is terrible and no one wants to change that, as it seems. We were a large group of 24 people and we had 3-4 waiters at our disposal as there were no other customers, but still the wine was brought without an ice bucket and left on the table without being served. The starters¡ I chose was disgusting (mussels a la marinera), probably cooked a day before and reheated in the microwave. This was not eatable at all so I had to change it for something else which was more acceptable (huevos revueltos con setas). For the main dish, I had the ossobuco and I specifically asked to have it medium rare...obviously it came well done and completely ruined. I wonder where is that respect for the customer and why nobody listens to what the customers wants as long as he is the one paying. Anyway, by the end of the night nobody asked if we need more wine or water and the waiters were eager for us to finish and go so they could close the restaurant. Considering the relationship between quality and price...well is not worthed whatsoever, especially if you have to go all the way to Poble Español.

This restaurant, located inside Poble Espanyol, is a must. Food, wine and sangria all excellent. We sat outside and enjoyed our evening with friends.

We spent a lovely evening wandering round Poble Espanyol and, undecided where to eat, followed our noses to this restaurant. It's not on the main square so it's not quite as noisy as some of the other bars and restaurants. We sat outside and really enjoyed the food, lots of tapas, and the atmosphere. The service was efficient and friendly and the prices reasonable.

When we visited the place for lunch it was chokka with what looked like a senior citizens Spanish coach party! There were ten of us too so you can imagine - dealing with all this was a feat for any restaurant! The fixed price menu (19.90E for 3 courses) had loads of choice but most offerings were very simple - something with chips. I had a great starter though - scrambled egg with wild mushrooms and black pudding, which was very tasty. Welcoming atmosphere for all that.

Good basic food, reasonable price, good service and atmosphere. VIsiting Poble Espanyol itself was a treat, but sitting outside under shade and taking it all in while eating good food with good company was the real treat. Highly recommended.

There are so many restaurants to choose from at Poble Espanyol, but this one had cherry tomatoes and garlic and oil at all the tables and even before ordering they bring out toasted bread for you to rub the raw garlic in and top with the tomatoes and oil. They have an excellent choice and the best part is you can have 3 courses with a bottle of water for 19.90€. Instead of choosing a main out of the 3 courses we had 2 entrées because we are trying to eat less, but the serves were so big( especially the mussels ) we are now able to skip dinner. We had coffee as an extra and are both very fussy coffee consumers and it also was great. The service was fantastic and our food was the best so far that we have had in Barcelona

The place is nice Service correct Food is just for tourists,,,, they give you good value for money amounts but the taste is another thing. it was not bad but just simple and saltless most of the time. I rather check other places next time.

The service was exceptional...especially compared to what we'd come to expect in Spain. Our waiter, Perre, was OUTSTANDING...the best weve had in Spain. The food was also quite good. The 20€ menu was a pretty good deal. We'd recommend this place; especially for a nice meal.
