We were some 30 people that visited Gourmandiet for brunch on a Sunday. The selection of food was excellent and everything was of high quality. The room was quite cozy and nicely decorated for the occasion. Service was excellent and we had a really good day. I can only recommend Gourmandiet for larger parties, the pre-communication was also really nice and attentive.

This restaurant is a part of a butchers shop and has a few tables. They specialize in steaks. A good selection of different steaks. I had a rib-eye which was very juicy. I found the prices to be a bit high compared with the simplicity of the restaurant.

Everything from dinner reservation to arrival at the restaurant to enjoyment of the food and experience was wonderful. I would go back if I lived in Copenhagen.

Had a lovely tapas style lunch with a friend. The best bit is having a good quality butchers shop in the restaurant. A fab place for meat lovers

I had a business lunch in this place with a local. All I can say is "Bravo!" Well, I can add that service was really helpful, sweet and personal. Thank you and will visit you again. (We had charcutery as a strater, and then I had 'hakkeboef', my company had tartar - brilliant!). Stylish place!

Great steak - service polite but far from intrusive. Wine was also perfect. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

This small refurbished butchery has been turned into a restaurant that prides itself on the excellence of its meat - and it doesn't fall short in any category. The starters, consisting of wild bore sausages and other cuts of meat, were delicious and interesting. The large cut of organic Côte de Boeuf that we later had was exquisite - cooked perfectly and extremely tender. Along came some home-made sauces which were without a doubt the best sauces I've had to date. The lighting isn't very appealing, however, it is made to fit with the butchery theme. Overall it was a great experience and the service was in the same league as the food.

Outstanding evening... Great Beef, and very nice starter. Atmosphere was great.. it is a small place so you will need to book ahead. Server named Hiedi was fantastic..knows her stuff. Wine list is good.... fully organic which is part of the restaurants code... so not as extensive as possible, but some very nice options and Hiedi can point you in the right direction... We will be back...

Perfect night out with friends in pursuit of amazing meat (not always an easy find in Copenhagen.) Our waitress was TOP NOTCH - explaining the cuts of meat (we chose Côte de Boeuf for two), preparation (perfectly medium rare,) side dishes (family style new potatoes & green beans w/ sesame seeds and almonds) wine paring - excellent Red wine for several of us, organic beer of the rest. Simple perfection. Cozy atmosphere - there were only two other occupied tables. Only criticism if you like meat on the rare side - make sure to mention it. Our Côte de Boeuf was perfect, but two fellow diners felt their medium rare was on the medium end of the scale. HIGHLY recommend Gourmandiet. Want to check out their lunch offerings as they only serve dinner Thursday-Sunday.

My fiance and I was in Copenhagen for one day and decided to do the very Danish thing and have a lovely brunch. I stumbled on Gourmandiet when I was researching for good restaurants to go and boy am I pleased! I ordered steak tartare and I had previously been apprehensive about trying that dish out but I am glad I ordered it at Gourmandiet because it was very delicious, perfectly seasoned with herbs and spices and served with onions, grated horse radish, capers, gherkins, mustard and rye bread. I cleaned my plate! It was so good! My fiance ordered a delightful meatball served with delicious braised onions, french beans, potatoes and a sauce reduction that was to die for! We highly recommend Gourmandiet for the outstanding delicious food, nice relaxed atmosphere and good friendly service.

We live close by and have often bought meat in Gourmandiet while thinking that one day we should seat in the little restaurant and enjoy a meal. Finally we did it today with a brunch. We picked a table in the back of the restaurant, towards the yard. It was very cosy with only 3/4 tables and far from the noise and agitation from the shop on a saturday morning. The food was great: first fruits and home made muesli with yogurt. Then a nice plate with a variety of things: sausages, ham, salmon with horseradish cream, a potato omelette...Everything was tasty and in the right amount. We had a very nice and relaxing time. To note as well: they serve Perch teas!

This restaurant reminds me of a Bill Bryson quote: 'You haven't been? Here, take my car and go!" Forget Noma. This place knows food. Okay, so it's limited to steaks. That's no bad thing - they know what they know, and they know it well. Gourmandiet (unlike Noma - see separate review) had me excited and salivating weeks before I arrived. I don't know why, but I simply couldn't wait to eat there. I felt welcome before I'd even arrived. As I walked in through the door, I knew we'd chosen well. Homemade dry-cured boar sausage with fennel and salted almonds. Rustic, perfect. The beef (cote) was heaven, not to mention the béarnaise and red wine sauces. These people know their stuff. Crucially they are absolutely passionate in what they do and want to share it with you. they are welcoming. Whether it's fish, desserts, meat (in this case) or pasta - a restaurant like this is the definition of a perfect eatery. I also ordered my Christmas fare from here and the owner, Peter, personally packed us up with all the goose and apple and bacon and blood sausage and rib of beef we could want, together with other festive specialities. I can tell you know that the £100s of pounds we spent on days of food here gave us tremendously more pleasure than the £1k spent at Noma. I will come back to Copenhagen if only to eat here again. Take my car, go!

My wife and I decided to visit Gourmandiet by Night to try out their famed organic steaks. The food is great, very tender and tasteful meat, excellent and simple side orders, and their sauce Bernaise is excellent. The wine list is perhaps a bit to the expensive side, but we found a Chianti (Pacina 2006), which was reasonably priced. It was a good Chianti, miles away from the anonymous Chianti's sold on other restaurants. The service was a bit uneven. We waited quite a while to give our orders, and the main courses arrived before had finished the starters. But, apart from that, the waiter was friendly and welcoming. We will be going there again, when we want to eat good steaks.
