I went for brunch here with a large group of friends, we used the upstairs area. Although there was many of us, it was a wonderful experience as they had a few rooms with sofas and coffee tables. The food was amazing, great choices and amazing quality. I definitely recommend this place but be sure to book in advance as it is a popular spot.

The lady that served us was so rude and unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend this place, there are other better brunch spots in Hamburg we're the staff are pleasant and the food is fantastic.

This is truly a place you should have breakfast if you are in the area. You have to make a reservation otherwise you will be out of luck. Very nice interior, designed with lots of TLC. The food is magnificent, all fresh and of the highest quality. French toast with lots of fruit on top an they brew an excellent coffee. Make a reservation well ahead of time. I will be back.

The waitresses at Pauline were all grumpy and unfriendly. When we ordered the big breakfast for two and asked to put the cheese separately from the meat (I'm a vegetarian and my husband is a meat lover) the waitress made a sour face and said: "oooh, I don't know if that's possible, it's so complicated, the kitchen staff will get mad about it". Heh?! The breakfast is served on a tray with 3 plates. Just put the cheese on one plate and the meat on the other. What's so complicated?! It took forever to our food to arrive, then they forgot our drinks. The food is good but the service has to be improved. I doubt we'll be back, there are friendlier places in HH.

We decided to have breakfast at Pauline in the Schanzviertel in Hamburg. This was by far one of the best decisions in a long time. Not only was the breakfast mighty delicious, you also get a lot for the price you pay. I had the 'Feels like a Holiday' breakfast and it was huge. The coffee tastes great and you get a big mug of it, especially if you order filter coffee. The staff is very friendly and looks out for your well-being. The interior is worth having a look at and also plays part in feeling a bit at home and comfy. Thank you guys for this great breakfast and experience!!

I love places like this... like parts Shabby, retro, homely, charming and full of character. We vent for Sunday buffet brunch/breaky that seemed to be well known for many, since people was standing on the door before they opend. The food was fresh, tasty and a good mix between cold and hot dishes...and very bery good coffee. I recomend everybody visiting Harmburg to spend Sunday morning here!

Well, in between the cafes who serves breakfast, in my opinion Pauline ist below Average. Service is slow, scrambled eggs came runny, secong scrambled eggs came 30 minutes after, but still a nice concept. Would like to try the third time.

Having taken a day off of work, we wanted a nice place to start our day with brunch. The website said brunch was available until 1 so we arrived at 12:30 to a nice small restaurant. We were not offered any menus when we sat down and told to just go to the counter to order, good job we had checked the menu online and knew what we wanted. However, brunch was no longer available for no good reason. A disappointing start to our day and I can't see us returning after being let down like that. Should have just gone to Cafe May in the first place.

Pauline's is a lovely, cute cafe with a brilliant breakfast buffet - the amount of food is great, and it is high quality. However, it was quite expensive (18 euros per person).

Pauline is quite a nice Cafe & Bistro. There is lots of space - outside and inside. Definitively more than I've expected when arriving. We went there on a Sunday planning to have a little breakfast. However, on Sundays Pauline doesn't serve breakfast - just brunch. It was quite alright. Then had cold and warm stuff which was decent. However, 18€ (including tea and orange juice) seems to be far to much. I mean - considering the quality I would expect something like 12€, maximum 14€. Nonetheless, if you go there on a "usual" day, I guess you will have a great time!

Pauline is one of the sweetest places you can have brunch in Hamburg. Had a brunch for two there, everything was tasty and delicious. Friendly staff. Also liked the decoration so much. However I would definitely recommend a reservation, since it is always full.

Had an outstanding breakfast at Pauline's which exceeded all expectations. Nice and cosy, friendly staff who were happy to make mimosas after our description as they didn't know what it was - service minded at the top!

Our first brunch in Hamburg, and we were not disappointed. The quality of food is excellent, with a large range of antipasta and breakfast foods. The price is a bit steep, but fair for the selection. After an hour or so additional warm meals hit the buffet line. Only drawback we saw was the single long buffet line, due to the restaurant being packed. If you want to have a place inside, RESERVE ahead of time. We had to sit outside since we didnt reserve. Additionally, we saw many customers turned away due to lack of space, every chair was full. Highly recommended!

Yes, the wait was long, but I have found this to be the case in many German food establishments. At least there was an above average cup of coffee to drink. Tip - the filter coffee comes in a two cup cafetiere; better value! The food quality was excellent - all fresh produce and made to order. I must have had at least three eggs scrambled, and the French toast and fruit salad was more than enough for my partner. We called in on the way to the airport around 10.30 - very comfortable atmosphere and pleasant staff. It was worth the wait!

After 45 minutes of waiting, we were getting to leave when our scrambled eggs and French toast arrived vex. Hardly the stuff to write home about. apparently when sitting outside on the terasse you are expected to walk inside to order...which added to our wait.

We went there on the 1st of January for a New Year's brunch. The brunch was great. They had a buffet with everything you could wish for. Bacon, Bread, Salmon, Pancakes, Olives, Honey, Marmalade, Eggs whatever you'd hope for a breakfast after a late night out. I loved would go back anytime. Also the staff was very friendly we felt right at home.
