Recommended by friends, we went out of our way to get there. We found the last outside tables, subsequent visitors had to wait a bit. Staff were helpful and fun. We had lively breakfasts. I think scrambled egg might mean omelette because that's what I got but it was all lovely. Watching locals and couples meet for a Sunday breakfast was a treat.

This place is in my neighborhood so I've ended up here a lot for breakfast and lunch. The food is amazing and the servers are friendly. Must try the Strammer Max with eggs and bacon!!

I had the worst breakfast and service in a while. On the menu it said homemade bread except it was a cold stale bun from a plastic bag we saw out the back. One lady was really nice except the rest of the staff were horrible and ignored us. The staff then had the audacity to have a go at us for not tipping them which was completely out of line seeing as the service and food was horrible. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I certainly won't be going back here.

A bit out of town and not the easiest to get to however the staff and service is great. Food even better so. It has a very local feel to it. Menus are fabulous and rustic. Would most definitely reccomend

This place have a nice atmosphere - it is good for lazy mornings. You can choose many types of breakfast with different ingredients and style. Big plus for homemade bread👌 big minus for the prices..

We stayed in Berlin for 4 days and restaurantbastard were the best breakfast place indeed! For two people scrambled eggs, fruits with yogurt and mixed breakfast-plate (small) were good choices and not too heavy! We faced embarassing situation when we ran out of money, there was 50cents cash missing and foreign visa werent accepted. However the staff were incredibly friendly and said that this was okay and "no worries"! We will definetely visit there again and leave lot of tip :)

The food there was absolutely amazing. The eggs in a jar with cheese was by far the best dish, followed by the pancakes. If you're looking for a lighter meal, I would strongly recommend the meat, cheese and fruit plate. The staff was also very nice and accommodating :)

Not an easy place to get as no U-bahn in the area but a great breakfast place. It can be a wait , so put your name down on the list as there are only 3 tables sitting 4 inside otherwise outside suits all. Simple menu but great brunch/breakfast Highly recommend

Got our names on a waiting list and got seated with a group of people fairly quickly. I ordered the large vegan breakfast and although it took over an hour to come out, it was amazing. If you've got time to wait, it's totally worth it. Staff were efficient and friendly.

Don't judge a place by its name! What an amazing breakfast we had over the Easter weekend. The food is fresh and plentiful. Be warned that there might be a bit of a queue for a seat on a Sunday morning - so get there early!

If you are vegan there is only one thing on the menu but judging from everything else I'm sure it's fantastic. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

We had breakfast here. Although it's not possible to make a reservation we only had to wait for 30 min. The choice is not too large but they offer everything you need for a decent breakfast, including vegetarian and vegan options. Everything is served beautifully with fresh fruit.

We visited this place after seeing it recommended online. We were prepared for potentially long queues but as it was a Friday there wasn't any. There was a reserved table which we were happily given with no fuss. We were greeted with welcoming smiles (we always look out for this). The service was fairly quick and efficient. The waiting time for our food was minimal. When the food arrived we were very happy with the presentation and it tasted fresh and delicious. The interior was plain, quirky, clean and cosy. The prices were cheap which we were surprised about. Food = Tasty & well presented Staff = Friendly & welcoming Price = Fantastic A great easy experience for brunch.

Cool place for breakfast, they serve various types of it, omelettes and egg plates were very tasty and beautifully presented. As for pancakes - not that good. Its a bit annoying that we had to approach several times to get in - the place is crowded. Overall, if you can get in, get in :)

Wonderful breakfast, beautifully presented - my plate looked like a work of art! First time I've I had eggs in a jar, and I'm a believer. So, so good! Friendly service and the cappuccino hit the spot too. Loved this place and the yummy food.

We missed brunch but ended up having 2 excellent pasta dishes, not your average pasta but made with real care, creativity and flavour. Despite feeling like the only people who were tourists there, we still enjoyed the experience. We gave up trying to speak broken German, and relations with staff became less tense !! The interesting menu would definitely tempt a return visit.

Since a couple of years now, I have not found a tastier breakfast in this city.. Fresh and mostly healthy ingredients, friendly service, nice people, inspired menu...The only con I can think of is that it is so famous you have to wait your turn to get a free table, this means don't go if you are in a hurry. I also feel a bit sad they don't sell their amazing homemade strawberry marmelade, it's so delicious!
