Walking by at lunchtime, the cooking aromas made us grab a seat on the sidewalk and stay to eat. We were glad we did! It was so good we brought the whole family back for dinner. Fun atmosphere, full of regulars but we were treated very well. Lamb chops were delicious as was the pasta. Don't miss this place!

Love the place. I went there with my wife and the food was just superb. The truffle tagliatelle was awesome and the tiramisu was really good. The staff was really friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Went there with friends, all our meals were delicious, the atmosphere is nice, the service is with great Italian accent and attitude - enjoyed a girls night out! From the acoustic side, everybody ends up shouting, but that what makes this place so easy-going I guess.

It's hard to find a better place than this little restaurent. It's small, crowded and loud, but it transports you to Italy. The truffel noodles are simply the best. Had several top-notch celebrations here. The wine flowed, the laughter just got louder. Everyone always complimented me on my choice of restauraunt, when I take them here. HIGHLY recommend!

We are completely perplexed by the high ratings for this very average eatery. The place is packed, has many reservations, and seems to be a local hangout as many guests arriving will greet or kiss this staff person or that. In this way it has a nice ambiance (although we are not fans of seating so tight, you are literally breathing down the neck of next table). The food is nothing special - anything but. Super salty uninspired risotto, a watery Bolognese with little flavor and what is most certainly not homemade pasta, a salad of rocket and shaved parmesan, sub-par olive oil, and a rather sad attempt at bruschetta- literally a handful of cherry tomatoes, halved, thrown onto white toast, with nice fresh basil and nothing else. Chopping them is your job - adding olive oil, etc.- no marinade -all up to you. Altogether nothing to write home about. We were very excited for this place based on reviews. I think a familiarity with authentic Italian cuisine, or home-cook style restaurants can only lead to disappointment here.

Nice italian restaurant with good pasta and fresh meals. Friendly staff, always crowded, so reservation recommended, or going early for dinner.

I found this place with help of tripadviser. It was close to my hotel (Das Nikolai) and Italian)). It was overbooked because of football match, but they put more tables outside. Waiter recommended me tagliatelle with black truffles, it was really fresh and good. But green salad was not so fresh. Anyway, I liked the place, and I found out it is popular among the burgers! I would recommend this place for good Italian dinner!

Per TA's recommendation, we tried it. Outside seatings area, right on the sidewalk, is a added bonus on a good weather day. Menu is written on the chalkboard inside above the kitchen (can order right there or at your table). Pretty cool concept! If order the mixed-plate starter for one/two person, beware that tuna tasted like from Tuna can - not so tasty! Bruschetta Mozzarella was very tasty! Truffle Pasta was incredible (my favorite!) Pesce giorno (fish dish) was just as typical. We ordered the house red wine (not so good), which dropped our rating a notch. Typically we have good experience with house red wines. Other the that, I would like to give it another chance at some point. English spoken and experienced staff, which makes it a bit more easier. A few English spoken clients dined out at this spot, makes it fun as well. Cheers!

We were walking the streets looking for an appealing restaurant that looked like it had lots of locals in it. This place was the ticket. We were greeted with a hearty Buon giorno. The place is small, maybe 20+ tables and the atmosphere was absolutely fun and energetic. We got to sit adjacent to the bar which gave us some nice interactions with the bartender. The food...well, please see our was delicious. We finished the experience off with Tiramisu. That's my favorite dessert and I'm always hyper critical of it--this one got my highest rating. In Munich again, you can bet we'd do our best to stumble on it once again. Unless you eat early the way we happened to that night, make reservations!

I've eaten here several times and was never disappointed. The salads, pastas and daily specials are excellent. The servers are friendly and accomodating. Every time I've gone I didn't have a reservation and despite the full house, I was always able to get a table, although I would recommend a reservation if its a special occasion. The only downside is the restaurant is a little cramped and they only take cash - no credit cards.

This small restaurant is a known to locals only favourite! It does not look much from the outside and you might be tempted to walk on by, but you will be missing a treat. The staff are genuinely friendly, nothing too much bother and the food is cooked in a small kitchen area in front of you and can only be described as delicious. Without a doubt my favourite relaxed restaurant anywhere.

I try to get there once per visit to Munich. I usually stay at hotels around the area in Schwabing, and it's a great place to end a day. The staff are always great, and although they can sometimes take awhile to come around (which can be annoying if you're on a clock) it's usually because they're entertaining or personally greeting the guests that are arriving. They're either very good actors or they really do enjoy running the restaurant, and it comes across to the guests. The food is also very good. My wife almost always orders the Truffle pasta. Somehow they're able to make it affordable - as low as 13€ (when on special) for a decent portion. I usually order whatever strikes me at the moment, and have yet to be dissappointed. The desserts are also very good. You can expect to get a meal for two, excluding drinks, for about 35€, which for me is pretty good value for what you get.

Visited this Italian after reading another online review. A little out of the way but good if you want a change of scene from central Munich. Small, friendly and good simple food at reasonable prices.
