    Wir waren als Päärchen dort. Die Location etwas unscheinbar, dafür das Essen und der Service ausgezeichnet. Der Geschäftsführer, Benno, ein echter Fachmann im Bezug auf Essen und Getränke. Vielleicht sogar etwas zu schade für das Lokal. Des Weiteren echt sympathisch und professionell bemüht um das Wohlergehen des Gastes. Während meines Aufenthalts in München war ich insgesamt 4 mal im Blue Mediterraneo essen, konstante Qualität und super Personal auch wenn die Kellner täglich gewechselt haben. Nächster Besuch schon geplant! Empfehlung: immer die Wein+Speisen Menues.

    Ich war mit der kompletten Familie im Blu Mediteraneo beim Essen. Jeder von uns hatte ein anderes Gericht ausgewählt mit jeweils einer Vorspeise- alles vorzüglich. Preis-Leistung passt hervorragend. Der Service war Spitze.

    Einfach lecker. ...was soll ich sagen, zum Kennenlernen wie so oft mit Groupon. ...wären wir auch sonst echt nicht drauf gekommen. ..aber was für eine schöne Überraschung! 4 Gänge - einer besser als der andere...Highlights: Tolles Carpaccio mit Walnusskrokant, dann das Fleisch wie bestellt medium-rare und sehr gschmackig gewürzt. ...der Nachtisch: Schokoküchlein endlich mal wieder mit flüssigem Kern. Sehr angenehmer Service, der seinen Job ernst nimmt und das Ganze mit Humor würzt. Ein sehr gelungener Abend! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

    Vier Gänge Menü mit der Option Fisch oder Fleisch. Man sitzt bequem auf den Bänken, gegenüber auf Stühlen/Hockern ohne Rückenlehne. Aufmerksamer Service und immer dem leichten Stil und Ambiente des Lokals entsprechend. Menüfolge (Fisch) wurde zügig serviert mit einem Highlight am Schluss. Alle Gänge geschmackvoll angerichtet und von guter Qualität. Finale: Schokoladenkuchen mit flüssiger, warmer Schokolade. Traumhaft. Ein Abend ohne Reue.

    Die Küche haut einen nicht um. Leider waren auch einige Speisen - obwohl in der Karte - nicht da. Ich würde sagen - viel Lärm um nichts.

    We ordered Dorade and Loup de Mer, the Dorade was still raw on the inside (deepfrozen?) after we notified the waiter the fish was simply put back on the grill whilst half eaten! The Loup de Mer was still raw towards the head and extremely salty. The service was ok on entrance however once the food was served there was no service. Nothing was done with our complaints. We highly recommend NOT to eat here, preparing fish on a grill is very simple, this Restaurants promotes itself as a fish restaurant and can't even get that right.

    good atmosphere, nice menu. although the steak was to wel done, the antipasti before were excellent. nice place for a good meal for a good price.

    Had diner at this restaurant on advise of a colleague. Had the day specials with vitello tonato and the veal strips. They were cooked to prefection and the wine served with it was fantastic. Must visit.

    Modern, semi-chic small bistro sort of place. We had great hopes when we first sat down- very helpful waitress and interesting menu. We shared the grilled vegetables with mozzarella and a choice of either octopus or calamari. There were lots of vegetables and perhaps more grilled green and yellow peppers than I personally liked, but it was very good. Two of us had the cappellini with frutti di mare- calamari, octopus, and prawns. Fantastic. Great homemade pasta and simple but delicious. My husband had the char with an orange, fennel and pomegranate sort of salad on the side. He said the fish was perfectly cooked and the fennel dish was excellent. The fourth person ordered the dorade, but she was a bit bored by the accompanying side of boiled potatoes and green beans, so the waitress offered her the fennel side instead. Up to this point, everything was very nice...and then it all started to go downhill. The break between the starters and the mains was well over an hour with no apologies or explanations. When the dorade came, it was a whole fish (yup, head and tail) which my friend did not particularly care for. No one offered to filet it and, perhaps more to the point, no one had indicated that this would be the presentation. I have been in many restaurants where they bring the whole fish to the table, but they almost always tell the diner ahead of time so he or she can choose it or not. Most of the time, again in my experience, the waiter or someone will also debone the fish so as to make the eating easier and less work for the guest. So, in all, the whole fish presentation was a no-go for us and the service somehow just fell away and disappeared. That said, it was a charming venue and up to a point the service was very good. Should I blame the kitchen?

    By chance we got a table, because this Restaurant is very succesful and already from outside you see how happy the people are there .... Excellent food, service, drinks ... and and excellent choice. One of the best Restaurants I ever visited.

    Very nice venue with good service. Menu very interesting but we all selected from the specials which were really tasty, well cooked and presented and reasonable value. Lobster salad with orange sauce was fantastic and would visit again just to dip some bread in that sauce. Left choice of wine to the waiter and he selected a S African Chardonnay, even though this was 2012 vintage it had some real depth to it and not artificially oaked you sometime get. Busy night but service remained prompt and friendly.

    Well designed dining room. Our very professional waiter spoke to our son in German but in English to us and in Spanish to the next table. His hospitality was steeped in his love for this place. Quality menu with fresh and tasteful foods. Excellent specialty cocktail paired with GREAT music. Our party consisted of all ages and everyone enjoyed the food. This was a great break after eating a lot of traditional German foods during our trip.

    It was our last night in Schwabing and booked to go to this restaurant. The service was great, English speaking. The food was really nicely presented and most importantly really nice. Good selection to choose from.

    What can I say about this gem of a restaurant in the heart of famous Schwabing neighborhood in Munich! we got the tip to visit from a local friend and it turned out the best evening of our week's stay. not sure where to start from, but the most tasty dishes, (we all had fish as main course, very affordable price), were accompanied by a very well thought out wine selection and to top it all off, by impeccable service (high-end but relaxed at the same time). Also, a little secret I feel like I have to share with everybody, one of the best espresso coffee in town! well done Blu crew! We will be definitely be back!

    Can't believe you can get such a good meal for such a reasonable price. Less than 9 euros for two fabulous courses. Great service and friendly atmosphere. You have a choice of two set lunch menus of three courses and can gave any two or all three courses. Wine a bit pricy but with such a good deal on food, who cares. Waiting to go in the evening for dinner. Will report back

    Exceptionally good service, just the right combination of politeness and efficiency, and a decor that we enjoyed. A fine choice of carefully considered meals (worth noting: you can choose to have a main course as a starter, slightly smaller, should you wish), a good selection of wines. Starters (vitello tonnato), main course (risotto with shrimps; grilled calamari) were just right size-wise, and very enjoyable. Nicely located in Schwabing, easy to get to by metro (for instance, U-Bahn Giselastrasse, and 5 minutes walk) or by tram. 4.5, somewhere between "very good" and "excellent".

    We had an apartment nearby in Schwabing a couple years ago and ate at Blu Mediteraneo a number of times. We recently returned while on an overnight stopover at the airport. The small restaurant always has an interesting menu of dishes with mediterranean influences, a decent wine list and friendly service. Clientele seems to be mostly local and it's nice to be away from the bustle of the center of the city. Kitchen has been willing to produce a number of small plates if desired. A nice change of pace from German cuisine, we've always enjoyed our meals at Blu Mediteraneo.

    The food is neither Italian nor Mediterranean. The pasta was overboiled and served with the sauce on top, not mixed together with it. This is a Cantine style cheap pasta that I would not accept in a restaurant asking for it 14 euros. Even more, the personnel was cheating us asking for a dish the full price even if we took it as a starter (half price). At our complaint they did not want to grant us the right price. Not recommended.

    Visiting Munich over the Christmas holiday, we realized a bit too late that all traditional restaurants are closed Christmas Eve (Heligabend). The better hotel restaurants had been booked solid for several days. We finally located a couple of restaurants that were open and accepted reservations. There were only a few Trip Advisor reviews for either, and they were somewhat mixed. Without high expectations, we chose Blu Mediteraneo, located between Maxvorstadt and Schwabing a half dozen tram stops north of the main tourist area. The service was attentive and we were very well taken care of from start to finish. We all enjoyed our salads and mains, topped off by a warm chocolate cake baked in a ramekin that was superb. And the final bill was very reasonable. It made for a wonderful Christmas Eve experience.

    My fiancé ate dinner here before I arrived in Munich. It was most assuredly worth visiting again. The two waiters were superlative and the food--tagitalle with fruita del mare (him) and spinach and ricotta ravioli (me) was perfect. They started us out with fresh bread served with three small dishes of marinated olives, a cheese paste with pimentos and olive oil. Just the right amount of a appetizer and delicious. We sat outside on the side street--quiet and comfortable. When in Munich: eat here!
