Went for dinner wanting to share a Pizza, yet the sizes are just insane. We tried to order a smaller one but somehow they can't get it done. So we went for a salad an risotto to share, which was ok yet not what we wanted

Leopoldstreet is such a delightful place to stroll and feel happy. Pizza being one of my favourite food, was thrilled to be at one of the best pizza joints in the world. The pizza size is huge and very fresh, rightly cooked with good quality ingredients. The salad we ordered too, a baked goat cheese beetroot salad with greens walnuts and honey, sprung us to life after a long sightseeing day. The in house lemonade with mango was supremely refreshing. To top it all the service was warm and efficient. When in Munich a must visit restaurant for sure.

I have been to this place in different cities in Germany and cannot fault the places in Berlin,Dresden and the other one in Munich but this one takes the biscuit I went in here sat at the bar ordered a drink and waited for someone to take my order for food now it was not even half full of hungry punters so I waited and waited in the end I turned to one of the waitresses as she was shuffling on by only to be given a look that was like I'm not here to take orders oh splendid I thought so I finished my beer and walked out shocking lack of service from a chain that has been so good in other parts of Germania sort it out chumneys

Hugh Pizzas and delicious Pasta for a very good price. Not to find very often in Munich. Outdoor terrace which invites to watch people while enjoying your lunch or dinner. For Dinner you better make a reservation other than that you may have to wait in the queue for a while before you will be seated

L'Osteria is an Italian restaurant known for its great atmosphere! The prices are generous regarding the quality and size of the dishes. The pizzas are huge and the pasta dishes are also very big (compared to other restaurants in Munich). In case you plan to have dinner at L'Osteria spontaneously, you need to calculate some waiting time because the restaurant is very popular. Students, co-workers, friend groups as well as families like to have dinner there and it's not uncommon to wait 30 minutes for a table for dinner. So try to call the restaurant in advance at least one hour to save a table if possible. I love going to L'Osteria no matter if I'm with my friends, my family or my boyfriend. The restaurant is suitable for every occasion especially if you don't want to spend too much money. The only disadvantage I experienced was that the dishes were often brought to the table not at once. If you find that a bit uncomfortable just stress it to the waiter in the beginning I#M sure he/she will pay more attention to it. Especially during the summer it's nice to sit outside! Enjoy! :)

One of the best pizza places in Munich. You receive for a really reasonable price a pizza bigger than the plate. Food is really tasty and service quite good. I would recommend this place for any time of the day.

This is a nice Italian place in the centre of Munich. The range of food is great, the serves are massive and the price is fair. I highly reccommend this place for large groups. The tiramissu is a must :)

We had a seminar with only a 30-minute lunch break, so we stopped by beforehand and ordered a few pizzas for lunch later. When we got there at the exact time the pizzas were ordered for, what appeared to be the manager admonished us that the pizzas had already been sitting in a box for 5 minutes, in a rather harsh manner. Two of us wanted to eat the pizza in the restaurant, the others wanted theirs to go. This presented an almost insurmountable problem, and we were again admonished that we were causing difficulties (mind you, at least 50% of the tables were unoccupied). I politely required whether we could have the pizza we were sharing on two plates, upon which I received the answer that this is impossible because the pizza had already been cut into slices (not sure why this would be impossible). Our request to please have two plates was granted - plates that were half the size of a pizza slice. While the food is good, prepare yourselves that the service is amateurish at best, rude at worst.

L'Osteria is my son's favourite pizzeria and my preferred place for a relaxed lunch (working next door helps). There is some outdoor seating and the choice of pizzas is great. They are very big and I like the fact that you can order 1 pizza with two different toppings, so even if you want to share you don't have to have the same taste. Prices are really good, for the wine as well, everything is served in a lovely, outdoor Italian way. The dough is light and the toppings not overdone (if you still can't finish it, you can take the rest home). It's very popular, so best to book.

There are plenty of very good Italian restaurants in Munich and this is sadly not one of them! We wanted lunch and had not reserved, but was told to wait at the bar where we could have spent hours as no one seemed responsible. Waiters and waitresses rushed back and forth with no clear mission. We had to grab one and point to a table that was free, but not cleared. Once seated, we had to wait long for the menus and then again to order. The food was mediocre - the pizzas we make better at home and ditto the pasta. Service in Munich is rarely great, but here it is awful. Take your custom somewhere else!

Great pizza and bruchetta in a nice surrounding. We went there mainly for a quick pizza we were 3 persons and if you not too hungry one large pizza is enough. The service was a little bit slow but the pizza delicious.

This restaurant is trendy, affordable and it offers honest quality meals, so is well worth your money. Most of the staff is young and many are of italian descent, so they now their products. The pizzas are huge and delicious, although the crust can be very thin and crispy. Perfect for winding down after a full day of sightseeing. I highly recommend it.

Pizza is huge, nicely thin, with the crust too hard for my taste, but other people of course like it that way. For dessert I had the mascarpone cream with strawberries, which came in a glass I´d associate with iced coffee. The cream was rather runny, with the strawberries sunk to the bottom of the glass; I only ate half of it, which is entirely unlike me in terms of dessert. The waitstaff seems to be student population, which means it takes a while for them to show up to take orders, and the occasional dropped silverware. For the price, however, I guess you can´t expect better.

I've eaten here many times over the years and the food is consistently great. Amazing salad options, great pizzas (plenty to share). Wide variety on the menu. Only downside is the noise... Not good for a quiet dinner. Opt for a patio seat outdoors if the weather permits!

been many times in this Restaurant, Walking distance from home, and the Quality has always been steady. We are not talking about excellence but about a great formula which perfectly mixes good Food and good Prices.Mainly frequented by Young People has become rapidly the place to be. The terrace facing Leopoldstrasse, specially in sunny days, is awesome. My personal advice, Vitello Tonnato or Carpaccio and Pasta. For the hungriest ones the Pizza, huge, is a must.

The food is definitely great and the pizza ordinary tasty besides its huge size. It doesn't only looked good but also taste good. The range of beverage is quite nice. However the staff seems a bit understaffed so the service is quite affected.

Trying to find a place for dinner on a Friday night of Easter weekend. Most things were booked with no tables available. Opted to try this at the recommendation of our hotel. This a a very large and loud open restaurant but we found the service was good, the food was average and the prices were very reasonable. If you are looking to get away from traditional german fare while in Munich, give this place a try.

Our tip: When everyone is ordering pizza,, don't tempt fate and order something else :) The outer decor said fine dining, but the inside said college hangout. The wait staff was terribly slow and forgetful. We ordered pasta and a) took an eternity to show, and b) was, at best, adequate. As a nice finisher, the waitress forgot our order of water, so we quickly paid and got the hell out.
