I can't say enough about Richmond station. The staff and kitchen go out of their way to make sure every guest has a perfect experience. You'll be kicking yourself if you don't go for the tasting menu with wine pairings. This is a restaurant you don't want to skip!

Outstanding meal on September 14th. Food, service and dining room off the kitchen were incredible. While our host brought the wine, the meal was just wonderful. It was a special occasion with nine courses - the amazing thing is that the staff did not rush the meal. Very pleasant; I would highly recommend. My only criticism was the loud and totally unnecessary music - it doesn't add to the experience.

Limited menu choices, but very different and tasty creations. Started with a crispy egg salad, which was a crusted soft boiled egg on a field of greens. My main was Euro bass on a bed of potatoes which was plated in a red pepper bisque. Dessert was a unique play on chocolate and cherries. Service was very attentive. The only issue was the noise level which did not allow for easy conversion.

Highly recommended - atmosphere, staff professionalism and super menu. Not too pricy, considering the quality of what you are eating. Given an individualised tour of the kitchen, without any prompting or request! Noted as the place to go by the younger set.

We went here on our last night in Toronto, and we had a fabulous dinner. Highly recommend the organic chicken! The location and atmosphere is second to none! Great place and a MUST visit restaurant in Toronto!

Our first stop on arrival in Toronto turned out to some of the best food we’ve had! Our waiter, Nick, was the best too, professional, casual, and interesting. When in new town/place always find it interesting to challenge the waiter to ‘surprise’ us with whatever wine, drink, or food he thinks we’ll like and.. surprisingly.. no one has ever let us down! If you’re new in Toronto/Canada, like Beaujolais-style red wine, and don’t believe it’s possible in this region, ask Nick for the 2014 Leaning Post Gamay from Wismer Vineyard – very nice, especially considering it’s from Niagara! Had the burger with house-cut fries, pure heaven! He said the burger was the best in town and it was better then that.. best I’ve ever tasted! They’ll only serve it medium rare though (my temp anyway) and so big (almost round) and juicy had to finish it with a knife and fork! All the food we saw looked fantastic (try the Charcuterie of seared Digby scallops). Next trip to Toronto we’re definitely hitting this place for lunch and dinner!

This was a return visit. We have been here several times before, each time we visit Toronto. This restaurant never disappoints. We had chicken, duck confit, egg salad (not your mothers) and fried mushrooms. Everything imaginative, tasty and perfect sized portions. Good wine list. The waitstaff is attentive , helpful and friendly. The decor is simple and sleek, subway tiles everywhere. The restaurant was full on a Tuesday night, which is testimony to their success.

It has been a long time since I enjoyed a good experience this much. Worth everything, the travel, the hotel, the price...to experience this. Worth every penny.

great place, ideally located near Eaton Centre. The staff are really nice and energetic. All the dishes we tried ranged from very good to excellent. The liver parfait was absolutely delicious. Book ahead as it is always busy in the evening.

Not enough unworn foodie words to describe the delight of my whole taste experience here. I had the Durham Bull to drink, heritage pork, local fresh carrot salad, and chocolate with cherry sorbet for dessert. But that doesn't help describe how artful all these dishes were, or how welcome I was made to feel stopping in alone on a Friday evening, seated at the communal table after a work event. I have four days in Toronto and am seriously considering going back, once for the impromptu chef's menu and again for the burger and blueberry corn dessert.

You can tell when a chef is really interested in creating unique dishes to not only wow the palate but also because food is just his (or her) passion. Such is the case at Richmond Station. The menu is edited with care and dishes are inventive without being obnoxious. Best of all might be the homemade pickles!

We had such a great experience at Richmond station. We ordered several dishes. First we ordered cocktails, and the duck liver pate. Let me begin by saying pate of any sort would not be my first choice ever, but my friend wanted to order it and it was FANTASTIC. I wouldn’t be able to go back without ordering it again. It had a cool, light, smooth consistency and it was soooo good. Next we ordered the station burger which we shared and it was excellent. It was a perfect medium rare, and it was very flavourful. The fries were crispy rosemary fries with a garlic aioli dip. We also shared the Seared digby scallops and they were awesome. They were served with a lovely combination of vegetables and a tomato coconut curry sauce. Highly recommended. We finished with a dessert that was on special—a buttermilk donut with home made ice cream. A couple things I’d definitely try next time from snooping at other people’s meals are the Charcuterie and the Saturday slow roast of the day. They looked amazing. I’d highly recommend this restaurant. Delicious!

TripAdvisor #3 out of over 7,000 restaurants in Toronto! At the risk of raising readers’ expectations to levels that can’t be met, I say Bravo and well-deserved. I’m not sure I can articulate exactly what makes the dining experience so superb, but somehow service, vibe and food come together just right. Attention to detail and sincere warmth to serve started at the phone reservation when I was asked if there was any food sensitivity or special occasion to make note of (so nice to feel the restaurant truly cares, rather than feeling your request is an imposition). Our special occasion request was not only accommodated, it was beautifully tailored to our group. Although severs were covering several tables, it almost felt they were dedicated to our table. Again, “just right” comes to mind because the service was not pretentious, nor overly casual - it was warmly attentive and sincere. The food itself – superb! Presentation left you savouring the dish visually before wanting to touch it. When the flavours and textures hit your tongue, you literally melted. Portions were “just right” – stuffing you is not their goal. Finally, the bill -- Not at all the shock you would expect at such a highly-rated restaurant. I have spent much more for much less in Toronto. Thank you to the whole team who worked so well together, you'd think you were all co-owners. A special thanks to Stephanie, Alice and Cody for making our evening such a delight. We look forward to many more visits!

We visited the restaurant after a long day of travelling from the UK. The restaurant blew us away, the service was of a standard that you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant, what great advice and suggestions when we were in an indecisive mood. The best suggestion was to go for the burger, it was cooked to perfection! We will definitely be returning during our next trip to Toronto. Keep up the great work.....

After finishing up a meeting nearby, my friend and I met up on foot in the financial district and used Google Maps to find a place to eat. Richmond Station popped up at 4.7 stars and two 'monies' so we decided to give it a go. I was expecting something decent, but I wasn't expecting a gastro mecca of ultra-high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients, thoughtful pairings and creative approaches to even the most rudimentary of dishes. My friend and I both had the burger, tastefully seasoned, cooked to a perfect medium rare, and topped with a zesty aioli and punchy beet slaw. The polenta "fries" on a bed of marinara sauce with a parmesan duster were spectacular. Our deserts also exceeded our expectations by an order of magnitude. To summarize, this is a fantastic spot run by people who seem to legitimately care about food, and marry this gastronomical passion with creativity and down-to-earth front-of-house staff.

We had a family dinner there of four. For an appetizer and we ordered the tempera which was delicious. As an entrée we had hamburgers, my son had the steak special and I had the scallops. Everything was absolutely delicious and I was told that this was the best hamburger ever. The chocolates they brought out for desserts were amazing. We had the local beer that is made by the owner and it was amazing. If you get a chance while you're in Toronto you definitely need to try this restaurant.

It's like sitting in your best friends house for dinner. Excellent plates with good delivery. Nothing our of place and well balanced. Try the sliders.

The food was excellent, although the noise of the restaurant obscured some of the conversation...had a mix of plates to share at the table - all of the dishes were both substantial and great tasting! Service was brisk and pleasant, and the place was packed. Contributed to a noise level that occasionally blocked out conversation, but gave the restaurant an energy that I have seldom seen in other places!
