Love the veggie patties, I usually get one to go when in the area or a whole box frozen to take home and eat. The rotti is one of the best I've ever had. Always has parking outside so it's an easy pit stop to make.

Have been a customer for many years, but felt it was time I gave a review based on my last visit. I needed a large order of oxtail (meat only) with rice and beans for an office event and it was fantastic. The meat disappeared in no time, will be a repeat customer. The staff were helpful getting the food packaged up for me as I did not have a car and had to walk with it. The quantity of food for the cost was very reasonable.

My wife, son, and I joined other friends to enjoy a Caribbean dinner. Order at the counter then take the food to your table yourself. My curried chicken roti was twice the size I expected, was covered with sauce, and I ate it with a fork. The chicken was delicious and was mildly hot. I couldn't eat the whole thing. My wife's jerk chicken was a huge portion and tasted good. Albert's is a good for take out because the food is great, but the restaurant's decor isn't anything special.

They would do well if they concentrated on either retail takeaway or sit in dining ;topped with their wholesale and catering business. They lose out trying to do everything. Service is OK if you know exactly what you want; don't be another one like me to understand the explanation of some dishes- you could be there for a long time. Food is good- tried jerk chicken and beef pattie- both were good. 1/4 jerk chicken for $10.50 seems high; $0.80 for a beef pattie is worth it. Clean envoirnment. I am going to try a few smaller , more homely atomshere Jamaican/ W. Indian restaurants now.

I love this little restaurants for the veggie / beef patties. Small restaurant that does have some parking in front, great for dine in or take out, just remember your cash since they do not take debit / credit cards.

I visited Albert's based on my friends recommendation. He used to visit frequently years ago however; we were both very disappointed. We both ordered the curry chicken. The chicken had little flavour. Although we received our food quickly the server was not friendly. The woman who took our order paid more attention to the TV (CP 24) than to us. We felt like we were interrupting her. Albert's does not take credit cards or debit so bring cash. I would skip this place. Too many other places to go that have good food and good service.

Craving ox tail - go to Albert's :) We've had ox tail with rice and jerk chicken salad. All good and tasty. Service is a bit slow, place is simple, price for the plate was $15. Taste buds were happy though.

Chicken is cooked in a real authentic way. It's pure Jamaican taste from the spices to the grilling.

This place is just the real deal. First went as a kid more than two decades years ago with my dad. I had the curry goat then and it's been my favorite ever since. Everything I've ever tried from this place was delicious! The smell will be in my memory for life. Everyone do yourself a favour and go here. Can't wait to be in Toronto again so I can come back!!

Great down-to-earth Jamaican diner run by Albert who is originally from Ocho Rios in Jamaica. Very friendly and he's in the kitchen cooking up some real 'reggae reggae' food. We sampled a stunning boneless Chicken Curry Roti and the Jerk Chicken Dinner. Washed down with some Grapefruit Ting. Cash only. Great place. Irie!!

Albert's is THE BEST .... whether we eat in or take out .... we know that the Chicken Roti is the best we've ever had ... the home made ginger beer sets a standard unmatched ..... but to get to chat with Albert means you have now had a tutorial on what really matters in the lives of Canadians .... this year his new line of hot sauces for sale ... has seriously alleviated the pain of xmas shopping !!! EVERYONE is getting his new Cranberry Hot Sauce ..... a true bargain from the new glass case.... Albert has the key in more ways than one !!!

Albert's is a fixture in midtown Toronto, specifically St. Clair and Vaughan. We've been going there for years. Our "usual" is the jerk chicken: a half bird with rice and beans...or in my case, rice and veg. Nicely spiced chicken just falls off the bone. One of my boys goes for the goat roti. I wouldn't call Albert's "destination dining" but if we're stuck for a dinner, we can walk over, sit at a formica-topped table and fill up for not very much money. Tasty, filling and great value.

Albert's is a gem in the community and my go to spot when I need a hearty well seasoned meal. Some recommendations: Check the daily specials on the board. Try the beef stew, jerk chicken or fried chicken with rice and peas and coleslaw. The split pea soups are rich and thick like my Gran would make. Nice on a cold day. Although there are several types of coconut water, buy the natural one. It's more expensive but, its the real thing.
