    Lovely sunny day - sat outside and enjoyed watching the world go by. It was really busy when we went but the waitress kept on top of it, the food was excellent. I'd recommend to others

    Extremely well located near many hotels, very cozy atmosphere and ambiance. Beer list is really good and very well priced. The food is all local farm to table, reasonably priced. I had the Haida Gwaii nation halibut which is seared and then oven baked served with seasonal root vegetables. It was excellent. Definitely worth trying if visiting Victoria.

    An interesting group of 3 restaurants, all within the same block, comprising kitchen, commons and bistro, with an organic / sustainable emphasis. High quality food, similar in all 3, slightly more formal in kitchen, informal in the others. We ate in commons and bistro and thoroughly enjoyed both meals.

    I've been a regular @ 10 Acres for a while now & hands down my favourite item during the day is The Omelette, it is very tasty & delicious, the potatoes it comes with are a whole different level & I can never seem to get away from this item it's definitely my friends & my spot to go on Sunday brunch, the Caesars are just perfect, the mimosas on Sunday are only $5 so we have that & a bottle of bubbly 😊the chicken pot pie is also another ridiculous item, the service is always on point & prompt & they're very efficient @ accommodating any special requests on the food items or drinks, in the evenings we love the Rotisserie chicken, Halibut, steak or tacos or wings lol, ok most of the items... Over all I give this place a solid 10 for effort, cleanliness & friendliness!

    This review for the benefit of the owners and staff. We have been going to this restaurant since to was Bon Rouge - owned and operated by the same group as 10 Acres. Location is great, ambiance is nice, very European. We have gone back time and again, even spending last Christmas Eve dinner there with out-of-town friends. 3 of us in a party of 5 ordered the spaghetti Bolognese, plain white pasta covered in tasteless minced meat, diced carrots, cheap cheese, and NO tomato sauce. Portions were just tiny. Not good. We purposely called ahead to verify that there were gluten-free options for the other 2 dinners in our group, who are celiac. We were assured there were "many" over the phone. Upon arriving, we were given a menu with 2 GF options on the entire menu: GF Chicken wings and GF fries, both marked with a GF symbol. Upon asking the server, we were told that they did not have a dedicated deep fryer for GF items....so why would you say your only 2 GF items on the menu come from a shared deep fryer??? Obviously someone in the kitchen does not understand even the basics of GF. If you don't have a dedicated GF fryer, food is not GF. Would you feel comfortable serving fried food to a customer with a peanut allergy from your deep fryer if you were also frying peanuts in the same deep fryer??? Both GF dinners ordered the omelette, as bland and tasteless as the pasta. At this point I could tell that all talent and passion are gone from this place. So sad to see, another great spot in Victoria has fallen through the cracks. We won't be going back. So sad.

    Managed to get a reservation for dinner on the heated and covered patio for six adults. The patio was full.of activity and offered a well balanced and engaging design. It is in the Downtown Victoria area. The service was very good. Apparently the restaurant is split into four areas, each with a different name and entrance. All in the same building. Checking on line the menus seemed to be similar. According to the local they market their reputation on locally grown and as many organic products as possible. As for atmosphere I would give it a high 4 rating, service almost a mid four in comparison to upper end eateries and for food quality and presentation a 3.8. All in all a great experience and worth a reservation.

    Went to 10 Acres recently and love the Positive attitude of the staff at the bar and appetizers were great as well . It was a Fun evening with friends ...Give them a try you will not be sorry .

    My son and his lady took us here for lunch as we are visitors to Victoria and not familiar with the area. I love the concept they use in sourcing and supporting local farms/vendors. An interesting menu rather than just the standard selection. Had the Pot Pie - was delicious and just the perfect portion size. Felt satisfied but not stuffed.

    We had an enjoyable evening at the Bistro. The staff were particularly friendly which really helped. The salmon and daily specials were fantastic, some of the best fish we had all trip. They have happy hour at 10pm.

    Fresh, home cooked style food is casual, friendly setting. Recommend Albacore Tuna salad, Very good eats in lively atmosphere.

    Visited with friends without a reservation but were quickly found a table. The service was friendly & the food, most of the produce used is from the owners' 10-acre farm, very good. The atmosphere was relaxed & we much enjoyed our evening. Thank you all!

    Food was just bland . . . with a smaller menu. While it is a busy restaurant we just werent that impressed, it really was just okay. Meh.

    We had high hopes for this restaurant, as "farm to table" is something we seek out where we live. Alas, what we found was very fresh ingredients cooked with little imagination or creativity. The only exceptions were the fried zucchini with tomato jam and the rotisserie chicken, which were excellent. The apple and strawberry crumble for dessert sadly lacked any sign of a strawberry. The fine dining restaurant may have been a better choice, but we were told it was closed for a private party. Not likely to return.

    We really enjoyed one of the other 10 Acres properties so we decided to check out the Bistro. We first went for lunch and sat inside near the bar, the service and food were great so we returned a couple day later for dinner. This time we sat in the dining room and the food was even better than before! Seriously, it was the best garlic bread I've ever had. We really loved going to a place that values locally and ethically grown food. Next time we're in town we will definitely return and try out the patio.

    The food was okay but overpriced and not memorable. I usually rate my experience by gauging how I feel when the check comes.....sometimes I think "yeah, that was worth it" or "wow, I would have even paid more for this!" but here I thought "oh dear, this is too much for what I just ate, and I don't feel good about it." Even though sitting outside was pleasant and the servers were nice but not attentive, I would probably not return here.

    Asked to sit on the patio , the hostess said there is no room and proceeded to take us some where down stairs to a place that looks like a dungeon , I then mentioned that there was a large table on the patio that looked like a " common " table with only one person siting at it and suggested we sit there . She said since someone was there already that was possible unless she asked permission from that person , which she did and of course was ok , a lot of hassle for no reason. The food was mediocre the pork burger was ok however the fries looked like frozen fries not home made . The roasted cauliflower flower dip was very blend and a very small portion for $11.00 Disappointing.

    I was probably one of the oldest customers in the place but I thoroughly enjoyed drinks and dinner at the bar in this very busy establishment. My daughter and I wandered in after examining the posted menu and were both very pleased. We chose the bar to avoid a wait. Service was excellent, as were the drinks and meal. Fresh ingredients were the star!

    My husband and I tried several plates Saturday night and we enjoyed them all. - The dishes had quite a bit of color, with small, thoughtful touches - The chicken tacos made a great starter to share - The salmon was just big enough with attention still paid to the vegetables - My husband's prawn mac-n-cheese wasn't too bland, having just enough bite to it - FYI: The berry-apple crumble was 95% baked fruit, very little crust Bon appetit!

    Third trip to 10 Acres Bistro, and it continues to impress. Superb staff. Completely unphased by the most difficult of dietary requirements. A lovely unpretentious place for a superb night out. Reservations strongly recommended. Happy hour is very good value.
