This is an attempt to capture my mild rampage through LA for the weekend. I always have a lot of opinions about what I put in my mouth (insert that's what she said joke here) so I'm going to challenge myself to write something for every place I visit
A little nightmarish during the weekend due to all the enthusiastic hikers (some serious parking wars were going down). The farther you go, the better the trail gets. Lots of elevation if you want and a waterfall is always a welcome bonus.
I can always appreciate a good sausage and the menu had my hopes up (rattlesnake & rabbit, duck & bacon?! Sign me UP). However, the final product came out dwarfed by the buns. Still delicious but underwhelming wiener sizes - and yes, it matters!
Dark & overly-loud seems to be the formulaic prototype hip bars follow these days. They really want you to work to have a conversation. However, there was an Anders Holm sighting and the Ané West cocktail was smooth as tequila & chocolate chili can be 👍
There are humidifiers set out around the store after close...Drake is the type of guy that would. Doesn't look like there's much for the ladies so I'm a little disappointed. What about your female fans, Drake?
Everything I've heard about this place is well-deserved. Those handmade corn tortillas are $$$!! I already have my game plan for next time: get the chicharron and cochinita (dat pickled onion garnish😍) and mix them half/half to make the perfect taco
Arts and Crafts Store in Los Angeles, CA, United States
Rodeo Dr for hipsters. Avoid any pre-packaged drinks sold in the coffee shops - the markup is insane! $9 for a bad version of apple and celery juice = 😮 at register. Good assortment of overpriced (obviously) but trendy boutiques.
Japanese Restaurant in Los Angeles, CA, United States
Get one of the plate specials if you can't pick between meat or fish and you'll get both! Big portions, decent Japanese food but the standout was the chocolate fudge cookie with green matcha whipped cream. Got a lot of food for about $10 so it's a deal
