What could be more satisfying on a cool autumn night than a plate of enchiladas de pollo en pipian mole rojo? This entree is a smart and soulful addition to the new menu at Jules Maes in Georgetown.

Next to Georgetown's favorite cantina bar Slim's Last Chance Chili Shack is Pig Iron Bar-B-Q serving up Seattle's freshest BBQ and a selection of tasty sides. Sad to see their hours are cut to lunch.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo here or just come on down any time. New Georgetown cantina offers authentic Mexican cuisine. Their mole poblano enchiladas de pollo is the best in town and soul-satisfying.

Made famous on Guy Fieri's Triple D, Slim's is a terrific Georgetown stop for a bite. Get a bowl of chili - 4 styles including turkey white bean - over grits with tomatoes, onion, cheese and chiles.

Smarty Pants can rev up your weekend with a good breakfast any lumberjack would appreciate. My fave is the breakfast burrito minus the flour tortilla; ask for corn tortillas on the side. Good coffee!

The Georgetown branch of the locally esteemed pizzeria Via Tribunali has an inviting brick-walled and high-celing room. Stop by for pizza and beer with friends or enjoy salads for gluten-free folks.

Friendly lunch service offers a gluten-free menu but its scope is limited. Enjoy a chicken cobb salad (too much bacon) and an Ace in the Hole, a summer whiskey cocktail with lemonade and ginger beer.

Hungry for a something more than a snack? Be brave and belly up to a plate of mole negro - chicken smothered in rich mole sauce or man up to a tlayuda. Their Oaxacan menu is muy macho and good!

Soar into Jet City's friendly Hangar Cafe for breakfast or lunch. Their small space is big on flavor and strong espresso. Ask for a crepe item to be served gluten-free as a salad. It's fresh and good!

Great space, location and menu - all veggie and vegan if it's yr thing which is cool - but bartender / server is slow, distracted and stretched. Needs to be staffed with more servers, esp on a Friday

If Friday after work happy hour is the bomb, then I must have been hit with exploding shrapnel at dinner. Shrill girls night out was screamingly loud. BBQ chicken entree good, go light on salt, chef.
