Tucked away off the busy shopping street Francs Bourgeois, this little park is popular with those who have just bought falafels on nearby Rue de Rosiers. Get some peace and quiet during your shopping trip.
Come here for the open air cinema in during the summer. The screen sways a bit with the evening wind but it fits the mood. They play old films in both French and English so don't forget to bring a picnic!
Perfect spot to watch the world go by as the canal locks are always operating. There are several places to eat and drink along the canal, just be aware that it's a bit dodgy off the canal. Grab the free boat between the 2 cinemas every 15 minutes.
You can walk essentially uninterrupted for 4.5km from Bois de Vincente to the Bastille through a green, aerial park. The Promenade starts below street level passing though tunnels (with waterfalls!) and rises to three stories high for the last few kms.
The most colourful and exotic area is the four- seasons-garden which leads to Bonsai heaven, hosting 60 manicured specimens. Once swooning, you are accosted with hundreds of varieties of gorgeous tulips and dahlias nearby. Find all of the sculptures!
