Tucked away off the busy shopping street Francs Bourgeois, this little park is popular with those who have just bought falafels on nearby Rue de Rosiers. Get some peace and quiet during your shopping trip.

Pay your respects at the graves of Jim Morrison, Chopin, Oscar Wilde, and Marcel Proust. The view of the city from the summit on a sunny day is fantastic.

Come here for the open air cinema in during the summer. The screen sways a bit with the evening wind but it fits the mood. They play old films in both French and English so don't forget to bring a picnic!

Visiting during the artist fares is an something to do if you're looking to devour some modern culture. It's catered well towards families and only a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe.

Often missed by travelers to Paris, have relatively quiet picnic among all of the peacocks. Most of the benches are strategically placed for shaded seating.

Perfect spot to watch the world go by as the canal locks are always operating. There are several places to eat and drink along the canal, just be aware that it's a bit dodgy off the canal. Grab the free boat between the 2 cinemas every 15 minutes.

The Botonical Gardens here are wonderful and relaxing. Birding can be quite delightful as there are over 100 different species on any given day, just hold your ground if a pack of ducks come at you!

This bit of green breathing space along the water is a perfect break from the bustle of the streets. I would recommend this as a great spot for families to decompress after a day of sightseeing.

This park is very large so definitely find a map to avoid getting lost. Be sure to bring an umbrella (plus wine, a baguette, and some fine cheese).

You can walk essentially uninterrupted for 4.5km from Bois de Vincente to the Bastille through a green, aerial park. The Promenade starts below street level passing though tunnels (with waterfalls!) and rises to three stories high for the last few kms.

The most colourful and exotic area is the four- seasons-garden which leads to Bonsai heaven, hosting 60 manicured specimens. Once swooning, you are accosted with hundreds of varieties of gorgeous tulips and dahlias nearby. Find all of the sculptures!
