This is the place to go when you want to do some serious cycling in L.A. The path is 28 miles and can also be ridden as part of a 61 mile loop. Obviously doing the whole thing is not for everyone but if you're up for it, it's one of the best in the area.

A nice easy stretch to do some cycling when you want to get away from the crowded beach front paths. The path can get fairly buggy so we recommend bringing some bug spray and as always, sunscreen.

The reservoirs are a great place to go to jog or bike, the loop around both is approximately 2.2 miles so a few laps around them provides a great workout.

Vista Hermosa is a hidden gem of L.A. It's not the largest park, but the the view of downtown might be the best in the city.

One of the best "hidden" parks in L.A., Elysian is the oldest park in the city and the second largest. The park is a great place to go for a hike and enjoy the view of Dodger's Stadium

One of the best spots to catch a concert or a big festival, the site doesn't provide much shade so be sure to pack sunscreen and plenty of water.

A 7 acre botanical garden on the UCLA campus, this garden is smaller than some others in the city but has a surprisingly large amount of plant diversity in such a small spot. The garden is rarely crowded which makes it an excellent spot to relax outdoors.

The Strand is a paved path that runs along the beach for approximately twenty miles. There is not much that is more relaxing that a leisurely bicycle ride along the length of The Strand.

A great spot to relax in the middle of the city, we recommend catching an outdoor movie in the summer or doing some ice skating in the winter, the Wednesday farmers market is a great spot for fresh produce as well.

A great place for a hike and usually less crowded than the more popular Runyon Canyon. The parking lot has a $3 fee or you can park on laurel Canyon to avoid the fee.

A 28 acre park where people come to jog and run, the park also boasts a rec center and a public pool. We love getting a pick up soccer game going, just make sure you're in the right place, some fields don't allow games.

Echo Park Lake is a relaxing spot that has recently been renovated. There is a walking trail around the lake and paddle boats for rental. We recommend getting a bite from one of the nearby food trucks and enjoying the views of the city.
