The Echo is a great and classic venue on Sunset that's never too crowded but never empty either. It's not the most glamorous place, but it's an excellent place to catch bands on the verge of blowing up.

One of the best places in L.A. to catch a live show. It can be hard to find a spot to sit even if you arrive early so be prepared to stand for the evening.

A 7,000 seat theater that hosts everything from concerts to movie premieres and award shows. Look for the 777 deal, doors open at 7 PM, $7 drinks, and $7 food, a great deal.

One of the best tours in the country if you are remotely interested in space exploration. The normal tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours but if you are lucky and able to attend during an open house event you can see much more than the normal tour allows.

Just as impressive as the Hollywood Bowl but about 1/3 of the size. The biggest problem is parking, take our advice and opt for the $7 shuttle to avoid the whole problem.

The museum has three floors of permanent exhibits and has free admission on the 1st Tuesday of the month. Definitely check out a first Friday event for some live music and behind the scenes tours.

A great small venue where seating is first come, first served. Our advice is to show up early to secure some good seats, then enjoy one of the nearby bars or restaurants before the show.
