Came here for dinner with Ron, Andy, and Ben before a party at the McKittrick. Had no choice but to endure the 40 min wait because everything else in the neighborhood sucks. The classic beef w/ mushroom gravy naked balls are absolutely perfect. Ask for extra focaccia if you need it.
Small beer shop that opened up pretty recently. There are a few fridges, but I trust that only leads to the owner being more selective about what he has in stock. There are some beers on draft too, in case you want to fill up a growler or have a pint there.
Came all the way out here to explore the neighborhood. Had a terrible feeling of regret when I looked at the menu and realized that I couldn't eat more in one sitting. I went with the classic pork gyro, and asked to load it up with feta cheese. Quite a cheap meal, and also quite a mess if you take it to go
Wanted to check out if this place would be better than Caracas Arepas bar. It wasn't but there wasn't at all a line to sit down and it was quieter. I was really impressed with how disorganized the staff was. Came here with Carlos and Ben
Ben's pick for BRIG. Love the Cuban decor. Run by the same people as Amor y Amargo around the corner, so I wasn't surprised to see that the rum cocktail list was full of winners. I wasn't at all a fan of the overpriced punch bowls. Far too sweet for my taste and a pain to spoon into your glass, especially towards the bottom where all the fruits and giant ice cubes settle.
