Remember how much you missed the sun this past winter? Get out of the city, throw down a beach towel, and drink the coldest beer you find. Do something!

Had an Amazon deal w/ Ron and Ben that was too good to pass up. Too bad Cheeky Sandwiches has fell off a cliff in terms of quality over the last few years. Used to be a solid fried chicken biscuit sandwich for cheap. Now it's kind of an edible mess.

Came w/ Laura & her visiting ex's French family who didn't speak much English. Given the small area to sit, we got to chatting with the bartender quickly. I was proud to say they said it was the best burger they've ever eaten, not that their bar was high

Came here after driving back from upstate w/ Laura and Ben. Had trouble deciding what to get because it all looked amazing, but I knew I couldn't go wrong with the classic Rev. Al Sharpton (smothered) chicken and waffles. Really wonderful service too.

Great, laid-back bar with lots of space and natural light. Used to be a tire shop. There's a wide selection of craft beers that you can get by the pitcher. I was quite terrible at the pinball machines.Very dog friendly. Came here w/ Ron, Laura, Ben.

Came w/ Ben, Laura, Ron before an event. Decent spot w/ good beers. Before ordering a large round of oysters, get a small order. Wasn't convinced that one of em was fresh. Solid fries, but I won't be back. Life's too short for "decent spots"; cash only

Had my second dinner here one night. Probably one of the better burgers I've had all year. Really cool vibe in a quiet part of the neighborhood too; wish I had more time to linger. The Near&Far burger reminds me of the one served as Happiest Hour.

Went sailing with Ron, Ben, and Laura by renting a boat through boatbound.com. Seeing the city from the water was pretty awesome. Definitely need to take more advantage of NYC's waterways.

After Might Get Weird party, came here w/ Ron and Laura. One of my favorite taco places now. Loved everything: kitchen-truck, the picnic tables, range of hot sauces, dive-bar mashup, and the really good tacos. My favorite was actually the duck taco

Came here w/ Ben after hearing about the famous $18 Butcher Steak. Was incredibly delicious, especially when paired with oysters to start, pan-fried mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach on the sides. Sit in Spuyten Duyvil's backyard w/ beer while you wait

Had a lazy, summmer afternoon in the back patio here with Ron, Laura, and Ben. The back is nothing pretty to look at, but that's not a bad thing here. Was pleasantly surprised to find several Belgian beers served at the bar.

Came here w/ James for brunch. He loved the place instantly, noting that it was just like a few places he likes in Japan. I asked him to order for us, since he wanted to practice speaking Japanese. Ootoya by far had the best salmon I've had in a while

Came here to catch up w/ Yelena over dinner. I was too tired to read the menu, so I asked the waitress to recommend my entire meal for me. The Pulpo (grilled octopus w/ paprika) was excellent to start with. Get the San Sebastian cocktail to sip on.
