Spent a lot of Sunday evenings here with the crew eating dinners (home-cooked and delivery) watching episodes of Game of Thrones: Season 5. Probably the worst season of the show, but the most enjoyable because of the company.
The NY Philharmonic played a beautiful performance on the Great Lawn, where I had a picnic w/ part of the Citymaps team. Unfortunately the weather wasn't agreeable, but it was a pleasant evening. Don't leave before enjoying the fireworks at the end!
One of my new favorites. Maison Premiere is such a treat, without breaking the bank. Had brunch w/ Laura here when Curren bailed on me. Make an Opentable reservation and ask to dine in the garden. Get some oysters and a few cocktails; you deserve it.
Was early for brunch, so I stopped by Black Brick. Just realized there's an incredible backyard, which is where I sat to finish my cold brew. The entire decor of the place is so post-apocalyptic, and none of it feels silly. Love it.
On the way to a concert w/ Ben, I hurriedly asked for the first thing that came to mind: strawberry sorbet, dipped in white chocolate, and covered in crushed waffles. Exactly what was needed to cool off.
Citymaps team dinner of 10 ppl in one of the private dining rooms downstairs. Definitely have the thousand-yr egg congee as well as the frog meat congee, and lots of it if it's cold out. Also be sure to get the Peking-style Pork!
Kicked off Adam's bachelor party here. There's a great indoor + semi-outdoor space. You can't make a mistake with the menu; they've done all the choosing for you. Expect strong Belgian beers. Don't get the Framboise unless you want 4% ABV kool-aid.
After dinner, save room for dessert and come here. The lemon chess pie is rich without being overbearing; pair it with a scoop of the goat cheese ice cream for a perfect dessert. Came here on a rainy evening. So glad they're open late (til 11pm)
Awesome Chinese flavored like taro, red bean, and black sesame. Came here after a massive downpour with Theresa and Tom. We ended up eating outside in the rain because the A/C was too cold for how wet we were.
