I love to dip into these buildings on a rainy day and spend hours drifting off into another world. Museums are incredible collections of moments.

Highly recommend a visit, especially if you have any interest at all in WWII. Make sure to take a whole day, as there is so much to see. Also, admission is free.

Another good one for kids (and adults), very interesting history here, free wifi, excellent cafe, as always, mind the gap.

Lesser known museum focused on modern design, has one of the best museum gift shops, especially great books!

One of, if not the best museums to take kids to. The ship simulator is very fun, no matter what your age is it's well worth a visit.

Once the Bankside Power Station, the Tate now has one of the best views of the river, oh and some fab modern art too. The Infinity Room is a must see.

Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings including works from Da Vinci and Van Gogh, plus you can enjoy live music in the gallery every Friday evening, oh and the best part, entrance is free.
