Candy says: The sea is another resident of Brighton and has her own personality which changes daily. Avoid the crowds around Brighton Pier and head towards Hove Lawns where there are more locals and the beach is cleaner.

Candy says: a great gay/mixed bar. They play showtunes on screens the whole night so there is always a sing-a-long going on.

Candy says: Best seafood place I have been in many countries. Excellent wine list as well. There are two sites, on on seafront and one in the lanes. I suggest the seafront location for the beautiful views even if the whether is not great.

Brighton Visitor says: We’re huge fans of Brighton Rocks – its the closest thing to a ‘local’ we’ve got. Spread over a couple of small rooms across two floors, it fits the bill for a chilled-out afternoon or an up-for-it night out.
