Hidden away in Marathon Village, one wouldn't expect to have to stumble upon cocktails this good. But William Collier's is a bit of a hidden gem, doing the standards justice and creating some pretty great house cocktails as well. They also have one of the largest whiskey selections in the city, boasting over 120 different labels.

The 404 Kitchen gets plenty of buzz for chef Matt Bolus's food, but make no mistake, the cocktails here are no slouch. Travis Brazil runs the beverage program, which includes an ever-growing selection of Japanese whiskys. And barman Damien Breaw, a veteran of The Hermitage Hotel's Oak Bar, knows how to make 'em just right.

Cocktail service just started earlier this week at the latest project from the team behind Germantown's Steadfast Coffee. With all of the national attention Rolf and Daughters is getting for the food, doesn't it make sense that it would have a stellar cocktail program as well? The seasoned crew serves up a tight list of interesting, ever-evolving concoctions.

The Goldberg brothers' Pinewood Social is many things, including a top-flight cocktail house. Which makes sense, since Matt Tocco, a veteran of The Patterson House and Rolf and Daughters, is heading up the beverage program. The ever-changing list also features some of the best names for cocktails around.

This much-praised outpost of the Charleston original has drinks to rival the food, sourcing ingredients from the onsite garden and changing offerings frequently. And while not really a cocktail, be sure to ask for a rundown of their off-menu Pappy Van Winkle selection.

Having opened just before Christmas in an area of SoBro that has pretty much been devoid of any nightlife options, this unique watering hole is quickly building a reputation for their laid-back vibe, eclectic interior and solid drink options.
