Once again, the crowded world of NYC dining is being shaken up by a bevy of new restaurants this spring. We're enlivened by this, however, as it is one of the strongest offerings to the culinary arts in the recent past.
Inexplicably, The Monarch Room partners Eric Marx and Lisle Richards weren't satisfied with one restaurant so they've also opened The Wayfarer in Midtown. After their recent opening party, the duo have proved to wield their same magic touch uptown.
Nods to the Navy such as walls lined with military canvas are present throughout the small, 40-seat space, but look more refined than rugged. Naturally, seafood is the focus here, but it will also be open for breakfast with a coffee station.
