The larb is impressive, but the papaya salad (som tum) is deceptively named. As usual, their spice is calibrated to a Western palate, but give the go-ahead and they'll spin your head around.

Several great choices for spice lovers here, but ma-po tofu is the king. Proceed with caution.

The Phaal Curry is a rite of passage for spice fans. Guests must state a verbal waiver of distress before being served this. Will update after I try it! Edit Oct '14: Painfully delicious. Wow

The Hot Chicken is perfectly fried chicken with as much spice as you're brave enough to request.

At $6.50, the Hot Oil Seared Hand-Ripped Noodles is the best deal on this list. Say "extra spicy" for the not-for-tourists version.

Lamb Vindaloo is a go-to delivery item for several folks at Citymaps. It's hot by default, but if you ask for extra spice, be prepared for them to take you very seriously.
