Excellent cocktail bar with a small bar food menu in East Williamsburg / Bushwick. We recommend the Pilar cocktail. They make a very good patty melt, and serve $1 oysters here until 7 PM.

Our favorite local. Laid back atmosphere, dark wood, cozy, great artisinal cocktails and beer selection. They do not have a kitchen, but you can get food delivered and eat it there.

This is a great dive bar with a photobooth. During the summer they offer egg burritos and a beach bus that takes you directly to Ft. Tilden beach and Rockaway beach!

Friendly neighborhood bar. Heated outdoor seating in winter, with rotating local food purveyors visiting nightly. Also a flower shop by day.

Easy to miss as it doesn't have a sign out front, but worth the hunt (just look for the white subway tiles out front). Enjoy a delicious coctail while you wait for dinner at Chuko.

Hip and SouthWest inspired - think white votive candles meets Mexican tapestries and hanging plants. The crowd is always a mix of cool 20-30 somethings that flock here for the cozy backyard.

This is a bar, but restaurant Tchoup Shop shares the space inside. Great New Orleans Cajun / Creole menu. Good for brunch or dinner. They serve Abitas beer (a New Orleans tradition) here!

For a low-key evening, swing by the long wooden bar at Bed-Vyne Brew for a pint. Craft beer selections change seasonally.

New York's premiere vegan bar. You don't have to be vegan to enjoy it. I (Alec) manage it. 16 different local draft beers. Comedy, music, and karaoke (depending on the night.) A local hangout.

Terrific cocktails in a place where West Indian meets British pub fare. The menu features dishes like an Oxtail Sloppy Joe and a Samosa Veggie Burger.
